How to unlock the Totally Texas achievement in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre - Definitive Guide
This achievement is fairly self-evident, but I will compile what may be obvious with some information other players have discovered.
You have to reach Player Level 50. Your player level is displayed on the top right of the main menu, and it is not the level of specific characters. Fair warning - this is a grind. You will need to get 589,000XP to reach level 50. XP is not earned in private matches so this cannot be boosted.
You earn XP in various, obvious ways such as:
Victim XP:
If all you are looking to do is get to level 50 as fast as possible then I recommend playing to your strengths. I feel I am a better victim and I personally like stealthing my way around picking locks and trying to open escapes for everybody. Also, you don't earn as much XP as a family member as not every action gives you XP, which is disappointing. On a successful run where I have picked up 3-4 unlock items and unlocked doors for each of those picks, and then I escape, I am getting about 1,700 - 2,000 XP per match. That's the most I have gained as either a family member or victim. So that would mean 340 - 400 matches to reach level 50. You level up quite slowly so this is a grind, and thus far there is no way to cheese this achievement. I think it's a very fun and addictive game so just have fun playing the game and don't worry about this achievement. It will come in time.
I enjoy this game so I will continue to read comments below and test out new ways to gain XP fast. If one method beats playing the game legitimately, I will share it here. Good luck!
There is a double XP Weekend on from the 27th October to the 1st November. Get on while it's easy to level up!

Don't see why anyone disliked, this achievement is simply going to take a lot of grinding public matches. I will say i did notice that exp doesn't seem correctly applied in some instances.
Here's hoping we get double XP eventually.

Just a little extra information to supplement the first guide:
This took me somewhere between 200-300 matches to do and 50-60 hours of no-life playing as Victim mostly.
Finally, I've been making a spreadsheet to help people keep track of progress and determine how much XP you get for each action, as well as a 'tracker' of sorts for winning every way on every map. Please update it where you can, especially in Levels 10-20 where there are some ambiguous XP and SP totalling. I'll keep updating this myself at high levels (50-99), but that will take a while.

Cooks XP has been patched so you can only get a maximum of 3 XP's from adding padlocks.
