The Walking Dead: A New Frontier

As the group waits for the sun to come up, Gabe decides to teach Clementine how to play euchre. Kate will mention to Javier that Gabe has a crush on Clementine. During their conversation, Kate will tell Javier how she feels, giving you the opportunity to decide their relationship:

  • Javier will confess that he does have romantic feelings for her and the two will kiss. If you pick this choice, you're going to have to tell David after saving his life.
• [No, I don't feel that way.]
  • Javier will tell Kate he doesn't have any romantic feelings for her. If you pick this choice, David and Kate could possibly remain husband and wife after saving his life.

Ava will radio you guys about David's execution by hanging before she's abruptly cut off. Kate will remain with the truck while Javier, Gabe and Clementine go on the rescue mission. At the execution rally, Joan will lie to her people of Richmond about the murders David has committed. She will reveal the corpses of Lingard, Badger, Max (if you killed him), and Lonnie (if you killed Max). Joan will spot Javier in the crowd and asks him to speak up about his actions. Through the dialogue, it's revealed that Eleanor betrayed Javier so she could stay in Richmond as the new doctor. Joan then has her guards bring out both Ava and Tripp, hands tied behind their backs and on their knees. You need to make a choice on who dies and who lives:

• [Save Ava]
  • Javier chooses to spare Ava, but Joan betrays Javier by ordering her guards to shoot Ava despite Javier choosing to save her. Ava is shot in the head. This choice causes David to be shocked about her death.
• [Save Tripp]
  • Javier chooses to spare Tripp, but Joan betrays Javier by ordering her guards to shoot Tripp despite Javier choosing to save him. Tripp is shot in the neck and bleeds to death. This choice causes Eleanor to be shocked about his death.

Clint will speak up and use his power of leadership to stop the violence and killing. The next choice you can make will have an effect on your Episode 4 ending.

• [Take the deal]
  • Javier agrees with Clint's negotiation deal to walk away and be exiled from Richmond. Clint frees David from his execution and unties him; however, David takes him hostage as he doesn't trust Clint or Joan. A shootout will happen and many unnamed members of The New Frontier community will be killed. David will also kill Clint. Joan will not be killed and David will go after her.
• [Shoot Joan]
  • Javier will not agree Clint's negotiation deal and shoots Joan in the eye killing her instantly. This causes David to be hung by the guard and both Gabe and Javier rushes to save to him. A shootout will happen and many unnamed members of The New Frontier community will be killed. Clint will not be killed and David will go after him.

Either of the choices will somewhat lead to the same end results, just a bit different regarding who is alive. You also have the choice to have Gabe stay with Javier or you can have him back his father up. When ready, press to take cover from a bullet and press to kill the guard who shot at you. Javier will need to save Clementine by pressing and to kill a guard. Afterwards, radio Kate to pick you guys up and a guard (or Rufus if you didn't kill him in Episode 1) will throw tear gas at you. Use the to get away and mash and press to take the gun away from a nearby guard (if your Conrad is alive, he will automatically kill this guard for you). As the chaos continues on the streets (press to dodge the truck), Kate will end up crashing the truck into a wall and it'll explode, ending the episode with her fate being unknown as the trophy unlocks.

On a side note, if your Conrad is still alive, he can die in this episode by pushing Javier out of the way as he accidentally gets run over by Kate's truck. This will only happen if you're too slow to dodge the truck with Javier.
