How to unlock the The Dawn Breaks achievement in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - Definitive Guide

This is story related and can not be missed. The achievement unlocked for me right after the choices menu appeared at the end of episode 5.

Sometimes achievements in the game do not unlock when they should. I recommend creating a copy of your save after completing chapter 5 ep 5 in case this happens. Otherwise you will have to replay the chapter from the beginning.

You can create a copy of your save from the main menu by:
1. Click Settings >> Saves
2. Press cn_Y on your save.
3. Select a different save slot to create a copy there.

FYI, IF THIS OR ANY OTHER CHAPTER 6 ACHIVEMENT DOESNT POP, MAKE SURE YOU ARE SIGNED INTO A TELL TALE ACCOUNT !!!

for me the issues with unlocking wasn't random (that doesn't change the fact that it was still annoying).. but what caused it for me was my controller turning off (100% correlation between that and no achievement popping with three data samples throughout my playthrough)

i hope this helps someone (there could be other random reasons i just wanted to share that i caught onto my own personal reason for it not working)

Story-related and cannot be missed.

Javier talks to Clementine while giving her a haircut. If Gabe is alive, she says that she will miss him. After that, he can choose to tell her to leave AJ alone if he's happy or bring him back to Richmond. After saying goodbye to Javier and the survivors of the García family, she leaves Richmond. This trophy will be earned afterwards.

This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

This is an all dialogue chapter with a few choices to make. As Javi and Clementine talk while he is cutting her hair, Clementine makes the decision to go and look for AJ. After some thoughtful conversation, the gate to Richmond opens with Javi and company seeing Clementine off on her journey. The chapter fades to black, unlocking the final achievement.
