How to unlock the Botanist achievement in The Walking Dead: The Final Season - Definitive Guide
You have to find outside of the greenhouse as well. You probably don't need to do all of these, but here's a list of everything that you can do.
Boar Head (collectible)
Inspect the glass window
You cannot leave the greenhouse once you climb the ladder.
First room:
Mushroom (collectible; eat a second one for the Edible achievement)
Pry bar (necessary)
Trowel (in the planter bed)
Shovel
Lawn Mower
Shears
You cannot go back to the first room once you open the lab door.
Second room:
Venus Flytrap (collectible)
Blue beaker
Flask
Chalkboard
Test tubes
Make sure you get all of the above before you get these:
Igniters
Propane
If you do all of this, you should also pop:

Act 2
0:20 - Collectible - Boar Skull 1/3
0:54 - Achievement - Botanist (Part1) - As you being right outside the greenhouse, Before entering, make sure to click on the foggy window by Mitch
1:13 - Collectible - Mushroom 2/3
1:13 - Achievement - Edible
1:40 - Achievement - Botanist - Make sure to click on absolutely everything you see, hold the if your unsure as this will pick up all white dots (Interaction markers). Be sure to grab everything BEFORE moving on as you cannot go back.
In the last room, grab everything BEFORE the Igniter and Propane as this ends the scene.

Act 3

*Missable*
During Act 2 you'll come to a greenhouse. To unlock this achievement you must interact with everything in AND outside the greenhouse. Additionally, the only three collectibles for Episode 2 are found at the greenhouse too, so I've included them here even though they aren't needed for this specific achievement. NOTE that as soon as you enter the greenhouse and go to each room, you can't backtrack, so make absolutely certain you do everything before moving forward.
Outside the Greenhouse
- Immediately after gaining control of Clem outside the greenhouse, turn around and you'll find a boar head skull on the ground in front of the grass (Collectible #1)
- Head to Mitch on the side of the greenhouse and inspect the fogged glass window (highly missable)
Once that's done, climb the ladder next to Mitch.
After Climbing the Ladder and Entering the Greenhouse
- From Ruby's back, pick up a mushroom (Collectible #2) and then opt to eat a mushroom ("Edible" achievement)
- Head to the white entry door and look at the table on the right of it. Look at the shears
- On the left side of the door, take the pry bar from the shelf.
- Do a 180 from the shelf and inspect the plant bed to see a trowel
- On your right is a long shelf along the wall. Look at the shovel
- Follow the shelf to the end and inspect the lawn mower in the corner
Once that's all done, use the pry bar to open the metal cabinet to get fertilizer and barbed wire, then open the red lab door behind the one cabinet to progress.
After Opening the Lab Door
- Take a few steps forward and pick up the Venus Flytrap on your left (Collectible #3)
- Make a sharp left turn and inspect the test tubes on the racking on the left wall
- Inspect the obvious big chalkboard near the back wall
- Head towards Mitch, and on the big island table, inspect the beaker with blue liquid in it on one side of the table, and the flask on the other side.
MISSABLE
At the start of Act 2, you'll go to the greenhouse. You'll need to interact with everything outside and inside of the greenhouse. Once inside, do not open the door to the lab before you have interacted with everything else. To see what you can interact with press and it will display everything for you. Also talk with both Ruby and Mitch. When you make your way back to the lab, once again interact with everything around you. Do not take the igniter and propane before you have done so.
