How to unlock the Rabbit Season achievement in The Walking Dead: The Final Season - Definitive Guide

BEFORE GOING FOR THIS IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU GO TO THE MAIN MENU AND MAKE A COPY OF YOUR SAVE SO YOU CAN DO BOTH OPTIONAL PATHS WITHOUT RESTARTING THE ENTIRE EPISODE.

This achievement is gained during Act 2 after choosing to go Hunting. The Hunting section has two contradicting achievements, so make sure you back out after completing this to get the other. Once you gain control of Clementine, speak to Aasim who will ask for help hunting rabbits. He will hand you a crossbow and you will need to succesfully kill 2 rabbits without missing a shot. Use your cursor to aim over the rabbits and RT to fire the arrow. Keep in mind that the rabbits hop from left to right as the scene comes up. The following missable achievement can be seen in the video below at 8:34:

If you miss a shot, immediately back out to the main menu and re-enter the game to have another try at doing this. Unfortunately, you will need to listen to about 3-4 minutes of dialogue for every attempt.

guess I waited too long after doing the walker piñata achievement and it autosaved and now I can't go back and reload the hunting part.

ShinobiGarth- The same thing happened to me. I didn't watch this video. I just read where it says make "a copy" which means 1. Had I known I may need 2, I would have made 2 copies. I think that I would add that to the worded part of this guide. Make 2 copies everyone. TWO!!!

Or at least let us know in the worded area that it autosaves soon after the last of the 3 piñata swings. I would have been on the lookout for it.

I fking hate this one, missed one shot and then game got saved almost immediately. Now I have to replay the whole thing from the start for this little crap, yeah thanks telltale

This achievement pisses me off, every time I fail to kill the stupid second rabbit I have to replay the whole episode to have another chance. I tried backing up my save, but it won't let me continue...only restart. I tried contacting Skybound myself but I still haven't been given a response. Typical...guess I will keep trying, I am too stubborn to give up!

This is also where I picked up the cat skull collectible needed to find and place for the achievement. Fishing location isn't the only place to find a cat skull, the hunting place has that too.

Thanks for this. I thought for sure I was going to have to follow what everyone else said and get the cat skull at the cabin while doing the "fishing" mission. I ended up doing them backwards because I wanted to go fishing first. Then realized my mistake in having to redo that again after "hunting". But thank god, I don't have to do that. Thanks!

At the beginning of Act 2 you'll need to choose to go hunting to unlock this achievement. I highly recommend making a duplicate save file at the start of Act 2 so you can unlock all achievements in one playthrough.

After choosing to go hunting, you'll then have another decision to make that again splits your path. For this achievement, choose to help Aasim with hunting rabbits on the left. You'll then be given two minigames where rabbits will hop from the left side to the right, pausing periodically. What you need to do is shoot one rabbit first try in each of the two minigames. This is another case where the achievement description is very misleading. You can't shoot all of the rabbits, just one in each of the two minigames without missing.

If you miss, quit out to the main menu and resume your game to try again. Once you shoot them both, this achievement will unlock.

MISSABLE

Make another backup save when you reach the hunting grounds as you can only earn one of the two trophies in the area.

At the start of Act 2, you will have a choice to go hunting or fishing. Choose to go hunting. Once at the hunting grounds, you will need to either help Aasim or Louis. Help Aasim. You'll need to shoot two rabbits. Don’t miss, or you'll have to reload your save.
