How to unlock the Mercy achievement in The Walking Dead: The Final Season - Definitive Guide

This achievement is gained during Act 1, upon meeting James in the forest. You will be tasked with getting his mask back, and he will ask you not to kill any walkers. During this section use ONLY B to stun walkers. Upon completing the section the achievement unlocks. The following missable achievement can be seen in the video below at 6:44:

If you are caught, just wait until you are killed to retry from the checkpoint.

Act 1.
When assisting James find his mask just use cn_B to stun walkers, after about 30 secs or so it will cutscene and pop the achievement.

This achievement isn’t unlocking for me. I’ve tried multiple times and it simply won’t pop. Any one else have this issue.

Full Achievement Walk-through for The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 3.

Obviously this will contain spoilers, but I have tried to limit this solely to the requirements to unlock the achievements

I would recommend making backups saves during the game just in case you miss something, however there are no multiple path achievements in this episode.

Hey guys and gals! Here is my all missable and all collectibles achievement guides in chronological order so you do not miss a thing!

0:20: - Collectible - Pennant 1/6

8:55 - Achievement - Mercy - You will need to fend off some walkers while James gets his mask but he asks you to NOT kill them.
You can do that by either pressing cn_B when one gets close, or as you see you can just simply keep running away and not have to deal with it at all!

Act 1

When you meet up with James he'll say he needs your help distracting walkers while he gets his mask. He'll ask you to not kill any of the walkers, and that's what you'll need to do to unlock this achievement. You'll need to survive for around 20-30 seconds until a cutscene triggers. During this time, you'll need to kite around a few walkers, making sure to stun them if they get close. If they get too close and grab you, starting the QTE where you stab them, you'll need to let yourself die otherwise you'll automatically kill the walker and void the achievement. I found it easiest to stun the two in front of you twice each, then run past them to the corner and turn around so all four walkers are coming toward you. I then only had to stun the one in the front once and the cutscene then triggered.

Once the cutscene starts, you'll then have to do a QTE where you push a cart to distract the walkers. When pushing the cart a walker will come at you. Make sure you only stun this one too!

After the cart draws all the walkers away, James will comment on how you didn't kill any, and this achievement will unlock.

MISSABLE

During Chapter 1, you'll meet with James and he will need help retrieving his mask. You'll need to distract the walkers. Do not kill them, just stun them by hitting and kite them around the area. Keep it up until James gets his mask. If you accidentally kill one, just let yourself die and restart the scene again.
