How to unlock the Alleycat achievement in The Warriors Street Brawl - Definitive Guide
This is a pretty hard achievement if you are trying for it by yourself, and can still be tricky commanding 2 controllers. But if it is only you, 2 controllers is the way to go. In order to unlock this achievement you’ll have to have 9 lives showing under your character’s name at any given time. An extra life is earned with 250,000 points, then with 500,000, and from then on, every other 500,000 points you accumulate will net you an extra life.
The strategy I’m working on currently as I type this solution is my second controller is rubber banded in the block position, and I'm using my main controller to strategically take out every enemy. I’m currently going for 500 Grand, Can You Dig It?, and Alleycat achievements all in the same run-through.
But since this achievement solution is for Alleycat, let’s stick to pointers on that. I explained how to earn extra lives through earning points (which also give you the 2 other achievements mentioned above), above, but there are also extra lives scattered throughout the game. The ones that I can confirm are as follows:
• In the first mission stage 2, shortly after the first reinforcements part, you will come to an area where you can see 3 places in the wall in the background that have boards going across that you can break through, there is an extra life in the crate inside that area.
• In the stage where you encounter the first boss, after you defeat him you´ll enter a train. Keep walking to the right every time you beat the enemies because at the very end there will be an extra life waiting for you. There are a few seconds for you to grab it before the stage ends, so be quick
• Another life is on the lizzies 2nd stage. Go up the alley instead of through the bar, keep going past the school bus and to the end of the level behind the small vehicle at the end. You have to be quick before the stage ends.
• In mission 7 stage 1, right at the start there is a parked train at the top left corner of the screen. Enter it and walk left.
So starting off with 4 lives, you should have 5 by the end of the first mission, and then 6 and 7 should come in the second mission (you should hit 250,000 points by then, and there is an extra life at the end of mission 2). So 7 lives coming out of mission 2 means your in good shape, I’d try and shoot for that when going for this achievement!
One more pointer is obviously not to die! If you find your first controller (the one going for Alleycat), at a quarter health, pause the game and switch the rubber band to your first controller and continue on through the game with your second controller, your health is restored to full at the end of each stage remember! Good Luck!!
Update, 18th of June 2011-
So here is an update on my experiences thus far going for this achievement, I ended mission 1, all 3 of its stages with 361,000 points. So I ended with 6 lives, The one I found and I got a life for getting 250,000 points. So I should be ending mission 2 with 8 lives!
**I 100% confirm you are able to obtain this achievement by the end of Mission 3 stage 1! This is where I hit 1,000,000 points for my 9th and final life.**
I hope this solution helped! Leave a comment letting me know if there is any room for improvement! Thanks.

Mission 7-1 has a second 1up. If you take the left path when you are given the option of three path ways.

Mission 6-3 if you beat the second last reinforcement section before the reinforcements arrive a 1-up will spawn. Probably more of these throughout the game.

Just do the single player story mode as usual. If you lose a life just quit out of the game and continue from the last save point. It takes a little while to get this one, but it just takes a bit of persistence.
