My suggestion would be to do this on the first area on the easiest difficulty. When selecting the level add 3 AI partners. You should choose Vermin because, as unlikely as it seems, he's the strongest overall character. Maybe it's because the actor is a professor now, I don't know. Anyway you should spend most of your time blocking and let the 3 AI allies do all the work. You could do this online with friends as well of course, but I think this way is the easiest. It's essentially foolproof if you do nothing but block and then move forward when all the enemies have been killed. Try to smash everything that can be destroyed, it may have health in it. In addition to blocking you may want to run from enemies and block in the corner so they can't even get to you, having to fight your allies instead. Personally I always held run and often jumped for that extra bit of distance from my foes. If you're good at figuring out the enemy attack patterns and dealing with large mobs you can of course try fighting, just don't die! Personally I spent the majority of the time blocking, attacking only when dealing with a single enemy, and only letting go of block when the enemy finished their attack combo. This game makes you block far too much in my opinion, I wish it was more like Rockstar's awesome game that came out for Xbox/PS2. I beat that one on Hardcore several times and the kind of silly Furious mode a couple times as well.
