How to unlock the Fast and Furious achievement in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition - Definitive Guide

There are 11 horse races that you need to win to earn the Fast and Furious achievement.
3 in Velen, 4 in Novigrad, 4 in Skellige.

The ones in Velen are all at the same location and the track is the exact same.

The first 3 of Novigrad are also in the same place, but each one has a different track. Keep talking to the quest giver to ride against the other opponents.

The ones on Skellige all have their own unique location.

ok i get it :) thx for your information. i turned off my console with holding the power button on console. Then i put off the power cable an wait 2 minutes. then put back the cable in and wait until the signal/light (on powerstation) turns from orange to white and turn on your xbox. from that i load my savegame (before the last race start in skellige) and won this race and its finally popped up!!! it works!! thank you !!

Question about the races: My game glitched when I was talking to Cleaver about the Palio race, and I didn't know that I should have made a manual save. Didn't even let me race in it because the screen went all black and it gave me the loss cutscene. I tried going back in through checkpoints and I managed to mess it up and lose the race, now I can't go back far enough to do that race again without going about 2 quests back. Am I screwed out of this achievement?

For those that are having an issue unlocking this achievement, if you have a save before the last race, then you can try the following:

Go to the Dashboard
Quit the the game
Press the guide button
Go to your profile
Select settings
Go to Devices & connections
Select Blu-ray
Select Persistent storage
Select Clear Persistent Storage

Load up your saved game and complete the last race again.

This will not unlock for me. I tried the techniques listed above. I even made a new game using the Hearts of Stone DLC. And still nothing...

In the longest tracks a whole stamina bar won't be enough to get to the end.

In that case, the key to win is this: when you see that your horse is low in stamina and the NPC is about to pass you by, try to tilt your mount sideways while in the middle of the track. That will obstruct the path while your animal recovers its power.

Once its bar refills or if you notice that your rival will no longer stay held by your awkward position, take the lead and move on. You can try this as many times as you need, although there's always a risk that the enemy will slip away.

By using this technique you have a chance to win in the longest tracks which can't be completed with only a full bar no matter what saddles you use.

If this solution helps you, please leave a thumbs up to let me know. Thanks!

No information about why this achievement is missable, or what to do to obtain it or missions required, just racing tips that would be a nice bonus for a guide that helped me NOT MISS A MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT in the first place!
