THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT

Wild Rose Dethorned
Defeat all the fallen knights and loot their campsites.
How to unlock the Wild Rose Dethorned achievement in THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT - Definitive Guide
There are a total of 8 bandit camps THAT ARE CONFIRMED to be needed to get the achievement.
(If you cleared all the camps go back to each one as you might have missed a guy running around, the easiest place to miss a guy is LOCATION #2 as There are a few on the outskirts of the camp.)
(Clear the guys as close as you can to the center of the camp. *credit to Joueur*)
Below are the locations of the camps.
#1. (Bandit Camp) Straight north of the "Upper Mill".
#2 and 3. (Bandit Camp) North of and Southeast of Zuetzer Castle fast-travel post.
#4. (Bandit Camp) Southeast of Est Taiyar fast-travel post.
#5. (Bandit Camp) West of Erde fast-travel post.
#6. (Bandit Camp) Northwest of Sarrasin Grange fast-travel post.
#7 and 8. (Bandit Camp) Both are to the Northeast of the Bowdon fast-travel post.
If you have any questions or think I may have left a spot out just leave a comment, :)
The 1.12 patch should fix the issues with this achievement not unlocking for some gamers.
Patch 1.12 Changelog
Hearts of Stone
Fixes issue whereby achievement titled Wild Rose Dethorned could not be completed.
This solution has a short video of the achievement unlocking at the last bandit camp and video's of potentially missable enemies. The achievement glitched for me on my main game save and I tried on a new HoS and that glitched. I took inspiration from a comment by @Joueur455523401 on @Foxfire49 solution and tried again with success. The video's are from another play through on an secondary account, so I am confident this will work consistently as I have unlocked it twice using this method.
It took an about an 1 hour 5 minutes in total (one uninterrupted play through) to unlock White Rose Dethroned achievement using a new HoS save. At the start screen use an HoS save and choose "Just the story". Allocate point to signs and abilities as you prefer.
Got to the Notice boards at the Seven Cats and Brunwich so the markers are visible on the map. No need to carry out any missions or objectives, just clear the camps. Begin clearing out the first #1 to #8 camps identified by @Foxfire49 in the previous solution. The order doesn't seem to matter, I did it differently on each play through.
At each camp I tried to pull all the enemies close the red highlighted chest, then kill them, Thanks to @Joueur455523401. Scout around the perimeter to make sure you have them all. At one camp with distillation equipment there is an enemy near some bee hives on the perimeter wearing a silver mask make sure you pull him.
Also by the Kuetz castle there is an enemy on his own in a side building area by some cages, you can't pull him close to the chest so just kill him. I kill the enemy around the 5 minute mark in the video below.
Once the you have killed all the enemies at a camp ignore the red chest and looting the bodies, Thanks @Sephiroth oni. I found that looting everything at each camp left me overburdened and I had to drop items. Its possible that dropping items triggers the glitch. Go to another camp. When you reach the final camp and kill the final enemy the achievement will unlock. In the video you can see the camps I visited and markers are still white showing they are unlooted.
I died at one camp and reloaded, I glitched Geralt into FP view, then glitched him into mid air and still the achievement unlocked.
For completeness I have the full 1 hour 6 minute video unedited of the playthrough.
Many thanks to @Foxfire49 @Sephiroth oni @Joueur455523401
*Start a expansion pack in a save just after ending the main story of the game, and all activities in the map Velen/Novigrad made.
*At first, go to the notice board at the Seven Cats and then at the Brunwich. Then talk with a Shopkeeper at Upper Mill, at the conversation, do the mission "Races: Swift as the Western Winds" and started "From Ofier's Distant Shores". Do this mission perfectly, killing and looting every fallen knights and their campsites at the way.
*Never sell or use any item that you looted, when you get heavy, use an ability called "Strong Back" that allows you to carry more 60.
*At "From Ofier's Distant Shores", do the mission until is showing "return the diagrams to the Ofieri merchant", and do not conclude it.
*Then start "Evil's Soft First Touches" mission, this is just the trigger to get other mission, called "Rose on a Red Field", and do it at the same way you do "From Ofier's Distant Shores", killing and looting every fallen knights and their campsites, without sell or use any item that you got.
*"Rose on a Red Field" must be made until is showing "go to the woman who hired you to collect your reward". Do not conclude this mission too. (At this point, I did the same with a mission called "Without a Trace" until is showing "report back to the herbalist", but now I don´t think is needed).
*Just then, you should go to the other campsites showed by a Foxfire49's solution, always killing and looting every fallen knights. DO NOT SELL OR USE ANY ITEM, carry everything. Maybe concluding missions that you could miss some item. There´s no problem to die or use a Fast travel point. And I do not use any item, but read everything. I made all on Death March difficulty, but I don't think that is necessary.
Thanks to @Foxfire49,
Enjoy, and good luck.
Start a new game (Heart of Stone only) and travel to the notice board in Brunwich. Gather all the notices. This way the markers appear for the Bandit camps.
I cleared them in this order (I only killed them and did not loot them or their chests):
#1. Straight north of the "Upper Mill".
#2 and 3. Both are to the Northeast of the Bowdon.
#4. Northwest of Sarrasin Grange.
#5 and 6. North of and Southeast of Zuetzer Castle.
#7. West of Erde.
#8. Southeast of Est Taiyar.
There is one knight at the camp North of Zuetzer Castle that I couldn't get near the marker, but that didn't seem to matter. My trophy popped before I even got to the last camp. Good luck!
its the only I'm missing to complete 100% of the game + expansion, but I'm done trying it til there's an official word on it
There are 8 different campsites you will need to clear and loot. Make sure you kill ALL of the fallen knights located at these campsites and loot the main chest. You can tell which one is the main chest by using your Witcher senses to see which chest is red. Looting it will also turn the map marker grey. It is possible that the trophy may pop before you take out all 8 camps.
Here is the location of all 8 camps:
- Straight north of the "Upper Mill".
- North of the Zuetzer Castle fast-travel post.
- Southeast of the Zuetzer Caslte fast-travel post.
- Southeast of Est Taiyar fast-travel post.
- West of Erde fast-travel post (Had two enemies spawn after clearing the camp, so watch for that).
- Northwest of Sarrasin Grange fast-travel post.
- Northeast of the Bowdon fast-travel post.
- East of the previous camp.
Start off by visiting the new village settlement at Brunwich and reading all the notes on the notice board. This will reveal all of the undiscovered locations on the world map in Novigrad, represented by question marks. Like the base game, these question marks will, once uncovered, reveal Abandoned Sites, Monster Nests, Bandit Camps, and more.
In total, there are 8 Bandit Camps that you must clear out for this achievement. The opposition in each encampment will vary, but be prepared to go up against 5-8 enemies on average. Once all the Knights have been slain (check the camps thoroughly), make sure to use your Witcher Senses to locate the red-marked chest so you can loot its belongings. While it’s suggested to work on this achievement at your own pace as you progress through the narrative, you can refer to the checklist below for all 8 locations directly as a means of getting this done before you begin questing.
Fallen Knights Campsites
- Question mark deep within the woods, northeast of Garin Estate
- Question mark deep within the woods, northwest of Garin Estate
- Question mark northeast of Brunwich village, along the vertical river
- Question mark in Buckholt hills, northwest of the Sarrasin Grange fast travel point
- Question mark southeast of the Upper Hill fast travel point, inside the Zuetzer Castle Ruins
- Question mark further southeast of the previous Bandit Camp, within the Kilkerinn Ruins
- Question mark slightly southeast of the Est Tayiar fast travel point (or directly west of the Heddel fast travel point)
- Question mark slightly northeast of the Vikk Watchtower fast travel point (or directly west of the Erde fast travel point)
Once all 8 campsites have been cleared out and looted, this achievement will unlock.
The picture was found on the Internet. To the unknown author - thanks.
From the mouthpiece: Comrades, there is no need to delete previously made saves! Just start a new game "Hearts of Stone".
Referring to the experience of the players, places numbered 9, 10 and 11 (in the picture) can be skipped.
Note: The trophy dropped immediately after killing the last knight in the camp. It turns out that emptying chests of goods is not a necessary activity, but a useful one (there are a lot of goodies there).
By points on the map:
1.-6
2.-11
3.-6
4.-4
5.-5
6.-6
7.-6
8.-6
First - 6 7 8 1 2 3 5 and that's it!! They gave me the trophy. I didn’t go to camps 4 9 10 11.
I searched all the corpses and all the red chests. I took all the things into my inventory. I read all the letters.
This is the easiest way to get a trophy out of all the written tips.
If you killed all the knights before the patch came out, run through their camps again. In camps number 2 and 3 I found chests highlighted in red, after I took things from them, the trophy fell out. It is not necessary to start a new game.
