Much like the potions formula achievement above, there are different ways bomb formulas can be found in the game.

  • Purchased from city and village merchants
  • Found as loot in chests
  • Awarded via side quest completion

Since bomb formulas are not as common as potion formulas however, there's an easy method in knocking this out early. The quickest way is to buy 6 bomb formulas from an herbalist; specifically the herbalist at the Herbalist Hut fast travel point in northeast Novigrad. This herbalist has 8 bomb formulas for sale, and buying at least 6 of them will cost about 2000 crowns. If you don’t want to waste all that money at once, you can create a save file, buy the necessary formulas for the achievement, and then reload your save once the achievement unlocks. Be sure to check the video below for the location of this herbalist.

You can simply buy 6 bomb formulae from a herbalist. There's one at the "Herbalist's Hut" fast travel point in the south-east of Novigrad (near Oxenfurt). He offers 8 different bomb formulae. This will cost you around 2000 crowns. You can simply create a backup save before doing this and sell all your crafting materials / alchemy ingredients to the merchant, then buy the formulae with the money. Reload your save game to get the money back.

You will need 2000 coins, but if you don't want to spend money, just save before buying, get the trophy, and then load your save again, it's as simple as that.

In the very first location I found 4 recipes, and all the recipes for potions (which are needed for the trophy).

Look in the places "?"

You don’t need these 2000 - recipes can be found in abundance by completing main and side quests - if you are not one of those who rush headlong through the plot, then you will find the required 6 recipes in the first third or half of the game.

in fact, everything is simple, if you, like me, completed the new game plus, and all the recipes have already been purchased, then launch the Blood and Wine add-on separately, you immediately have 20 thousand crowns, run to the store with the herbalist, and you have all the trophies, 5 minutes at most

Get it without completing 20% of the game by looting chests. As a last resort, recipes can be purchased from herbalists.

If, like me, you play NG+, then the merchant will not have recipes. You start a new game with the “Blood and Wine” add-on, go to this merchant, you will have 20,000 crowns, enough for bomb recipes

When transferring an old save and starting NG+, I couldn’t get the trophy in the PS5 version, since all the recipes were already on the transferred character, I then had to start a new game, the only trophy I couldn’t get in NG+ when transferring saves from the PS4 version.
Upd: here they suggested that you can simply throw the bombs out of your inventory and pick them up again and the trophy will be counted (I haven’t checked it myself)
