How to unlock the Bookworm achievement in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Definitive Guide
- Notice boards
- Bookshelves (both waist-high and large)
- From certain merchants
- As a book or note displayed on a desk
- From certain quests.
You will find them in your inventory under both the 'Usable Items' and 'Quest Items' categories. Simply press the A button to read one.
*Some items disappear from your inventory after reading them, so having 30 at once is not necessary.
If you loot bookshelves and visit notice boards this should be obtained by roughly level 4-6 without having to go out of your way to search for them, so relatively early in the game.
You should be reading them anyway as some will give you new weaknesses to enemies
There is a ton of reading material for you to get this trophy. Any books, notes, journals, or any other documents that can be found scattered about will count towards this. Simply go into your inventory when you pick them up and open them. You do not have to actually read them or have them open for an extended amount of time, just opening them will count towards the trophy. You can also read any notices that might be posted around towns or villages.
Again, much like potion and bomb formulas, books, journals, and other smaller documents can be found scattered throughout the world in abandoned houses, populated cities and villages, and even sometimes in lootable chests. This achievement is relatively straightforward, so don't worry about needing to get it done quickly in a specific spot.
So long as you are completing both main story quests and side quests, as well as exploring the vast open world and looting for resources, you should have no problem in picking up thirty books, journals, or documents. For the purposes of this achievement, just make sure you open your inventory and actually read the books, journals, and documents so it counts towards the total!
