Can someone confirm the Hint by SilvrgunSuprman?
I finally got this to unlock this morning. I would say this achievement IS missable. When you have the conversation with the Baron you have to agree to go with him to the swamp; even if you don't agree the Baron will convince you to come and you kill the Fiend by the Crones hut BUT you won't get the achievement. Just keep agreeing with everything the Baron says and it should unlock.

Think this actually may be missable, still havnt unlocked for me and the questline i finished. Maybe it has to do with the choices you make that might have a negative impact on the quest giver ?

I see you have since gotten the achievement, was it just stuck on "unlocking"? I don't think this is missable.

I had that same issue for the King's Gambit achievement, it was stuck as "Done Unlocking..." for a week. I had a save from rightaround that time, redid the mission and then it popped instantly. So if that's an option, try redoing the mission?

Sadly not an option for me, however I will be replaying the game on hardest difficulty so I could hopefully try to obtain the achievement then.

Mine didn't unlock either, the daughter ran off with the fire priests and his wife is still chilling at the bog. Do I need to reunite them?

Just today the achievement unlocked for me, I had a save and I periodically loaded it and finished the mission, skipped the dialogue and the after the scene with uma (in the fort) so if you have a save and are still struggling with these buggy achievements give it a shot

Finished this mission and Ladies of the Woods, nothing unlocked. Pretty frustrating...is there any post mission conversation I could have missed?

If you could confirm that those choices are actually the unlock criteria, and other choices void the achievement you should definitely post that as a solution.

I agreed with literally every dialog option, went to the bog with the Baron, killed the Fiend. The end result was the daughter going with the Eternal Fire, and the Baron off to see the healer.

No achievement.

A performed a hard reset of my console when my Brawl Master achievement didn't unlock as well. Upon doing that, and the end of this quest again, the achievements unlocked. So I can confirm that if an achievement isn't unlocking, make a save prior to the unlock condition and try again after a hard reset.

My guess is that the not unlocking problem is goty edition only. You have to agree to go to the swamp immediately with the baron. Achievements unlocks right after that dialog.

In so pissed ! I finished the game, did everything, spent more than 250h to realise only now that my only achievement missing from the base game is this fking one because of course it bugged for me too on the Goty edition. Now I have to do another fking run just to get this shit. 🤬
Because of course no achievement guides mention that this fking cheevo could be glitched.

Ok,
I think I figured out the determinative factor that affects the achievement.

When doing the Whispering Hillocks quest that is tied to Ladies of the Wood, you MUST free the spirit, otherwise the quest line leads to a different outcome and you won’t pop the achievement. (For context, once I did this, the achievement popped upon completing family matters, I didn’t even need to return to the bog to settle the ending)

I got it to pop by deleting my local save and reloading an older save then replaying the whole questline from the start made the lubberkin and saved the tree and helped him get his family in the swamp

@SilvrgunSuprman, how far back did you go when you attempted to get the achievement again? I'm not exactly sure when this achievement is supposed to unlock, is it supposed to after the dialog about going to swamp?

I've reverted about an hours worth of progress and followed your suggestion to a T, with no luck. I'll keep trying.

I wonder if having the Whispering Hillock quest completed prior to tackling this quest can void the achievement. I resolved that quest while exploring and thus had it finished when getting to this point. I still find that difficult to believe with a 67% unlock rate.

Just for disclusore, my choice that netted the achievement:

I chose
which led to the mother
the daughter
and the Baron

I don't think the choices really matter though, like for "King's Gambit", I think that the achievement might just be bugged and you should just try completing the mission as many times as needed until it pops.

Given for completing the quest Family Matters in Velen. To do this you need:
- agree to investigate the disappearance of the Bloody Baron’s wife and daughter;
-disenchant/kill Igosha;
because I disenchanted him, Igosha showed me the path of his family, therefore:
-follow Igosha and find out what happened to the Baron’s family;
further, the quest is divided, since the Baron's wife and daughter are also separated:
-the Baron’s daughter is in Oxenfurt, to get there you will need a travel document, which the unfortunate Baron will give us;
-to find the Baron’s wife, you need to go through the second chain of quests in Velen - “Witch Hunt”
In order not to spoil it, I will only say that at the end of the “Hunt...” you will find out the location of the Baron’s wife, of which you should immediately notify him and agree to join him in the liberation campaign, which will end in a battle with the Demon.

You can go free the baron's wife immediately after telling him where she is. And most importantly (I won’t spoil it) - BE SURE to win a unique baron card before this campaign, since then he will not play.

My trophy dropped before the quest with the “liberation campaign”, i.e. as soon as I told the baron where his wife was.

The card that you can win from the Baron will be able to be taken in his office, on the table, if you haven’t won it before!

In order to get to Oxenfurt, you DO NOT HAVE to buy a charter; you can simply take a boat or walk to the harbor. And there it won’t be far from Tamara at all.
