How to unlock the Passed the Trial achievement in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Definitive Guide

The achievement pretty much speaks for itself. Start the MAIN STORY QUESTLINE of the game on any difficulty (the achievements do stack) and after the final cutscenes of whatever ending you get (there's a plethora of endings depending on how you played so I can't say which scene for certain), when it cuts to Dandelion giving his bard tale account with the ink drawn moving pictures that we got throughout the game, the achievement will pop.

Soooo... Am I the only one this didn't pop for? I finished the game and nothing happened. Kind of annoying.

Didn't get this OR the achievement for killing Eredin. I quit, restarted, ran through the final part again and still nothing. really annoying.

Still not 100% fixed in 2019. Didn't pop for me. Maybe it actually is only awarded for certain endings?

Edit: It popped about 10 hours later while I was watching a video.

This happened to me also, this is the second achievement that has been bugged for me on Xbox One. But I got them on my first try on PS4. Not loving, that there are bugs for this after all these years.

This didn’t pop for me. Does anyone have any tips for forcing it to pop?

If you don’t want to go through the game many times, it’s best to start right away on the “To Death” difficulty level; saving here, unlike The Witcher 2, is allowed as much as you like.

We're just finishing the story. If you play on minimum difficulty and follow only story quests, you can easily finish it in a couple of dozen hours.
