How to unlock the Wild Rose Dethorned achievement in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Definitive Guide

This achievement is actually pretty simple, it just involves a lot of running around. To get this achievement you need to hunt down and kill all Knights of the Flaming Rose otherwise labeled as "Fallen Knights" and loot the main chest in each camp. People it seems have had the most luck getting this by starting a "New Game" and selecting expansion only, and then going to kill and loot the camps.

There are a total of 8 bandit camps THAT ARE CONFIRMED to be needed to get the achievement.

(If you cleared all the camps go back to each one as you might have missed a guy running around, the easiest place to miss a guy is LOCATION #2 as There are a few on the outskirts of the camp.)

(Clear the guys as close as you can to the center of the camp. *credit to Joueur*)

Below are the locations of the camps.

#1. (Bandit Camp) Straight north of the "Upper Mill".

#2 and 3. (Bandit Camp) North of and Southeast of Zuetzer Castle fast-travel post.

#4. (Bandit Camp) Southeast of Est Taiyar fast-travel post.

#5. (Bandit Camp) West of Erde fast-travel post.

#6. (Bandit Camp) Northwest of Sarrasin Grange fast-travel post.

#7 and 8. (Bandit Camp) Both are to the Northeast of the Bowdon fast-travel post.

Are locations 9-11 absolutely confirmed? I got my achievement before ever touching a single quest in the expansion.

This achievement is buggy, I've spent hours clearing out these sites on multiple different saves & nothing.

11 is the only one that involves a mission...you can get all the others without doing. It unlocked for me for sure after I cleared the final camp I hadn't cleared yet.

It is possible that you just need the 8 bandit camps. But I included every spot I found the Knights at just to be on the safe side.

It will be better if you start a new game and select HOS only, the Knights you killed in previous save will still count, just clear every bandit camp and kill the one you are missing.

I was having trouble with this achievement using my previous saves so I started a new game in Hearts of Stone only and didn't start any quests, then I went to each of the bandit camps and cleared all the enemies and only looted the red aura chest then the achievement unlocked, hope this helps.

Just to double up on what Szary said, I also cleared every camp, no achievement.

Later on I started revisiting the cleared camps, one had a single knight wandering around, killed him, achievement popped.

@Iron, on that file, did you clear the Abandon Site and Person in Distress as well? Or just the camps?

I don't know if it made any difference but when I started the HoS only new game I had a free save slot that had not been used

I've talked to a couple of other people who said the same though, that's the only reason why I'm including it, and still letting people know you don't have to start a new game as well.

In my case loading an earlier save solved the problem. I saved when I had three more camps to clear. The achievement popped when I was clearing the last of those three, there were some knights still alive and kicking when it unlocked, so I didn't even get to loot the chest. Furthermore, not all knights died by my hand - some arachnomorphs got mixed into the last scrap and killed at least one knight.

I have attempted thus 5 times. 3 times with a game completion save and twice with a new game HoS, and cannot unlock achievement. I have double checked each location and looted all. My game saves and quests are all missing names. Could this be a problem. Also thanks for the maps.

Yeah it's extremely buggy, but after you clear the camps if it doesn't pop, I would go back and check them again in case you somehow missed a guy. And would go ahead and do 10-12 just to be safe.

I'm also 1 of the lucky that cant have the achievement. Played 2x new game HOS mode and 2x with a previous safe game. I did al the locations kill'd al the soldiers looted every chest and no luck. Even traveled multiple times back to other locations to find new soldiers but no succes.

It's a very buggy achievement, both on Xbox and the PS. All you can really do is go to each location listed, clear it, then go back and double check each one. And maybe patch 1.11 will help make it less of a hassle.

@Joueur455523401 Thank you very much followed your instructions to the letter and the achievement unlocked, just like you said on the last kill of camp #5, no need for #4. @Foxfire49 consider adding these instructions to the solution if you get further confirmation.

I can confirm I got my achievement NOT looting any of the 8 camps. I also did it in just Hearts of Stone only on a separate save. I started at Camp #1, then did #8, #7, #6, #2, #3 and #5 from the list above. I DID NOT go to Camp #4 at all. I ran through enemies until they followed me as close to the vicinity as possible of each chest in each bandit camp, and I just made sure to kill every Fallen Knight at each camp I went to. For the Fallen Knights that don't come close and sit back and shoot crossbows, I had upgraded Deflect and just stood near the chest while I deflected their arrows back at them to kill them, which actually is a separate achievement if you don't have that one either.

Alright thanks for the updates guys, I'll remove the 938th option, but it's still obviously bugged as I've read in several places you need to at least loot the main chest as that is part of the achievement description. But glad people have got it without looting.

Frustrated that they didn't patch this, as I still couldn't get it. So I tried the HoS only and went straight to 1, then 8, 7, 6, 2, 3, and then 5, killing everyone. I did not loot. I did not fast travel. I did not go to 4. Achievement unlocked.

Got this achievement through my first gameplay of this DLC. The achievement unlocked for me while I was in Camp#3 still fighting the enemies. (There were at least 3 guys left and the achievement popped anyway. However I did looted all the other 7 camps though.) Guess maybe it is made easier after the patch?

Ok, second attempt I got it without visiting the eight camp.

It must be to do with the distance from the chest. You need a certain amount killed within the invisible zone. Or, loot six chests using take all without dropping anything. Only two things it can be.

If you meditate at a camp any enemies that may have wondered away will be spawned closer to the camp to help you get any that you may have missed.

You definitely don't need to loot all the chests. I didn't loot anything except the recipes in each chest. Two of them I skipped entirely (the bandit camps are still uncleared according to my map).

I figured out why the achievement doesn't unlock, it has to do with #5. The beehive guy MUST be killed near the chest along with everyone else then the achievement unlocks.

AT LAST!!!

Exactly the same as Endanehm, assume CDPR put this in purposely as the "fix" as mine was at Kilkerinn Ruins too; placed near a fast travel.

Glad to have it finally done now but seriously wtf, to have to wait this long and for it to have been in the game. I can finally now enjoy the DLC as it was broken on my save, was not willing to sacrifice all my equipment etc for a "ready made" preset.

Fingers crossed the next DLC isn't riddled with bugs!

Killed everyone. Looted everything. No achievement.

Edit: So I made a new HoS save. Went to Seven Cats Inn and Brunwich to get the appropriate undiscovered locations. I then went and killed every Knight (meditating after I did so and occasionally spawned another Knight) at the 8 camps, but didn’t loot their bodies or the chests. Didn’t get the achievement.

So I restart my Xbox, reloaded the auto save where I cleared the last camp, and then went BACK and looted all of and ONLY the red chests that gray out the area marker. Achievement popped on the last chest.

I didn’t fast travel between any of the points or use Axii to be safe. Hope that helps someone along the Path. wink

This one is glitched for me. I have just traveled to each bandit camp to confirm they are empty. There was one camp that still had a wolf hide in the red chest, but apart from that I had looted everything the first time around. Witcher Senses would also show a chest in red, then not allow me to loot it (as if it were empty) when I got close. Bit frustrated at this but seeing as other HoS achievements have glitched for me I’ll have to replay it at some point anyway.

I don't think that this achievement is bugged, well maybe it is :) but you can "fix" it. I've double checked all the bandit campsite and found one guy that didn't spawn earlier, after I killed him I've got achievement.

@Foxfire49 - I think that You've missed one group that appears in "From Ofier's Distant Shores" quest. The group is east of Vikk watchtower, south-west from Erde

Ok so I've been looking through a lot of stuff and talking to a bunch of people about this. 1.It seems you really just need to clear the 8 bandit campsites as pictured above. 2. It seems people have had an easier time getting this when they start a new game using the Expansion only (but you can still get it using a normal previous save.) 3. People still recommend doing at least the "From Ofier's Distant Shores" quest as Szary mentioned as there is a possibility of a unmarked bandit camp on that mission (meaning it's a possible camp you have to clear, but it's not marked on the map.)

Got it on the first on attempt on my main save after completing the dlc story line.

I Followed the order given by Joueur455523401, I didn't loot anything, I didn't fast travel. I meditated after each battle for 1 hour (except when it was sunset I meditated for 12 to avoid fighting in the dark).

Popped without going to #4.

I killed 6 enemies at each site except #2 which had 12.

Patch 1.12 fixed it for me as well! smile

When i loaded my save (a new Hearts of Stone Playthrough on easy that I had just started in an attempt to get this achievement back in October), I noticed that the bandit camp marker at Kilkerinn Ruins showed the camp as not completed, even though I had cleared all camps before.

When I fast traveled over there, there were no enemies to find, but the chest could be looted. I pressed take all, and the Achievement finally unlocked.

The same of @Joueur455523401 it finally unlocked when i killed the knights at my 7th camp (didn't even go anywhere near my 8th, not looted the 7th camp; but I looted the previous 6 camps thoroughly).
The key to unlock this achievement may to kill the knights within a close enough radius around the bandit camp marker.
I cleared the camps #1, #8, #7, #6, #2, #3 and #5 (and I would have finished with #4) in one go.
Thanks @Joueur455523401

UPDATE: 11th Jan 2016

The 1.12 patch should fix the issues with this achievement not unlocking for some gamers.

Patch 1.12 Changelog

Hearts of Stone

Fixes issue whereby achievement titled Wild Rose Dethorned could not be completed.

This solution has a short video of the achievement unlocking at the last bandit camp and video's of potentially missable enemies. The achievement glitched for me on my main game save and I tried on a new HoS and that glitched. I took inspiration from a comment by @Joueur455523401 on @Foxfire49 solution and tried again with success. The video's are from another play through on an secondary account, so I am confident this will work consistently as I have unlocked it twice using this method.

It took an about an 1 hour 5 minutes in total (one uninterrupted play through) to unlock White Rose Dethroned achievement using a new HoS save. At the start screen use an HoS save and choose "Just the story". Allocate point to signs and abilities as you prefer.

Got to the Notice boards at the Seven Cats and Brunwich so the markers are visible on the map. No need to carry out any missions or objectives, just clear the camps. Begin clearing out the first #1 to #8 camps identified by @Foxfire49 in the previous solution. The order doesn't seem to matter, I did it differently on each play through.

At each camp I tried to pull all the enemies close the red highlighted chest, then kill them, Thanks to @Joueur455523401. Scout around the perimeter to make sure you have them all. At one camp with distillation equipment there is an enemy near some bee hives on the perimeter wearing a silver mask make sure you pull him.

Also by the Kuetz castle there is an enemy on his own in a side building area by some cages, you can't pull him close to the chest so just kill him. I kill the enemy around the 5 minute mark in the video below.

Once the you have killed all the enemies at a camp ignore the red chest and looting the bodies, Thanks @Sephiroth oni. I found that looting everything at each camp left me overburdened and I had to drop items. Its possible that dropping items triggers the glitch. Go to another camp. When you reach the final camp and kill the final enemy the achievement will unlock. In the video you can see the camps I visited and markers are still white showing they are unlooted.

I died at one camp and reloaded, I glitched Geralt into FP view, then glitched him into mid air and still the achievement unlocked.

For completeness I have the full 1 hour 6 minute video unedited of the playthrough.

Many thanks to @Foxfire49 @Sephiroth oni @Joueur455523401

It's still pretty buggy even on 1.11. I just tried this method after it didn't pop in my main game and still didn't get it. Will try it again later and see what happens.

I couldn't unlock it on my main game either. I tried a new HoS save playing normally fast travelling and looting chests etc and that didn't work . It was only when I made a new HoS and followed this method that it unlocked.

There was no mention of a fix in the 1.11 patch notes, so its obviously not straight forward to repair and we can't be sure exactly what are the requirements for the unlock. But there are gamers unlocking the achievement after the 1.11 patch, the recent winners confirms that.

Found this on the CDPR forums, no idea if its legit or an ETA pm a patch.

http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/59765-Wild-Rose-Detho...

"I just asked Marcin Momot on Twitter if the future fix will retroactively grant the trophy if you already cleaned every bandit camp, and he confirmed that's the plan for that fix. Since that's my case, I'm not trying to get the trophy with a new playthrough, I'll just wait for the next patch."

This is the method that worked for me, this being my third attempt. I also did the camps in a random order, opting to do the top row of ones first and work my way down. I was on camp # 7 and didn't even finish killing them all before it unlocked. Never looted anything either. Thanks very much!

First attempt failed.

Restarted Expansion Only, Just for Story and then I followed The Reverend JC's 4th Attempt guide. I did 1, 2, 3, 5, 4, 8, 7 and then ended on 6 not looting a single thing.

I think he is on to something about the nekkar camp, im pretty sure on my first playthrough I only killed 5 dudes in that camp and could not find a 6th, This time I found the 6th near nekkars, got him back to the camp and killed him.

Also, I can confirm enemies died from bleeding effects and some even got shot and killed by their friends arrows so it seems you dont have to be the one giving a finishing blow.

I didnt fast travel or die when going for this but I did make 1 or 2 saves mid-session. Seeing the achievement pop was satisfying as hell! Popped a few seconds after I killed the last guy in Camp 6.

Just managed to get this tricky little bugger to pop on my 4th attempt using the above method, with one or two alterations. 1st attempt - regular playthrough with existing save. Did everything, no joy. 2nd and 3rd attempts - exactly as above. 4th attempt - as above, but did loot only the red chest at each camp using "take all", and didn't use Axii at all (previously I would use it to stun shield bearers, instead I used firestream). I also didn't fast travel on attempts 2, 3 or 4. It's interesting that the achievement popped after killing my last knight and before I'd looted the chest at my final camp, but I still found it uncanny that I finally got it after making sure the other camps were "greyed out". On attempts 2 and 3 I used the order 1, 2, 3, 5, 4, 6, 7, 8 to reference Foxfire49's guide, but on attempt 4 I went 1, 2, 3, 5, 4, 8, 7, 6, and it's possibly telling that brydgesr's video shows the achievement unlocking at camp 6 also. I also didn't worry too much about killing knights near the centre of each camp, though I've no idea if it plays a part. The majority of the camps have 6 knights to look out for, with the exception of 2 (11 knights), 4 (4 knights) and 8 (~7 knights, may have been 6). I'm pretty sure on my first try some of them ran off after nekkers at camp 5, which may have been what messed me up in the first place, so make sure you kill all 6 there. Good luck all!

This achievement seems to be bugged to a lot of people, including me in a few minutes ago, but now I believe that is hard to know what is the trigger of it. For me, it took a lot of tries to work, and here goes my entire experience:

*Start a expansion pack in a save just after ending the main story of the game, and all activities in the map Velen/Novigrad made.

*At first, go to the notice board at the Seven Cats and then at the Brunwich. Then talk with a Shopkeeper at Upper Mill, at the conversation, do the mission "Races: Swift as the Western Winds" and started "From Ofier's Distant Shores". Do this mission perfectly, killing and looting every fallen knights and their campsites at the way.

*Never sell or use any item that you looted, when you get heavy, use an ability called "Strong Back" that allows you to carry more 60.

*At "From Ofier's Distant Shores", do the mission until is showing "return the diagrams to the Ofieri merchant", and do not conclude it.

*Then start "Evil's Soft First Touches" mission, this is just the trigger to get other mission, called "Rose on a Red Field", and do it at the same way you do "From Ofier's Distant Shores", killing and looting every fallen knights and their campsites, without sell or use any item that you got.

*"Rose on a Red Field" must be made until is showing "go to the woman who hired you to collect your reward". Do not conclude this mission too. (At this point, I did the same with a mission called "Without a Trace" until is showing "report back to the herbalist", but now I don´t think is needed).

*Just then, you should go to the other campsites showed by a Foxfire49's solution, always killing and looting every fallen knights. DO NOT SELL OR USE ANY ITEM, carry everything. Maybe concluding missions that you could miss some item. There´s no problem to die or use a Fast travel point. And I do not use any item, but read everything. I made all on Death March difficulty, but I don't think that is necessary.

Thanks to @Foxfire49,
Enjoy, and good luck.

The key to unlock this achievement is to kill the knights within a close enough radius around the bandit camp marker.

Start a new game (Heart of Stone only) and travel to the notice board in Brunwich. Gather all the notices. This way the markers appear for the Bandit camps.

I cleared them in this order (I only killed them and did not loot them or their chests):

#1. Straight north of the "Upper Mill".

#2 and 3. Both are to the Northeast of the Bowdon.

#4. Northwest of Sarrasin Grange.

#5 and 6. North of and Southeast of Zuetzer Castle.

#7. West of Erde.

#8. Southeast of Est Taiyar.

There is one knight at the camp North of Zuetzer Castle that I couldn't get near the marker, but that didn't seem to matter. My trophy popped before I even got to the last camp. Good luck!

CD Project Red has confirmed there is a bug with the trophy and will fix it in an upcoming patch. Just clear the camps and you will get the trophy when the patch drops.

There are 8 different campsites you will need to clear and loot. Make sure you kill ALL of the fallen knights located at these campsites and loot the main chest. You can tell which one is the main chest by using your Witcher senses to see which chest is red. Looting it will also turn the map marker grey. It is possible that the trophy may pop before you take out all 8 camps.

Here is the location of all 8 camps:

  1. Straight north of the "Upper Mill".
  2. North of the Zuetzer Castle fast-travel post.
  3. Southeast of the Zuetzer Caslte fast-travel post.
  4. Southeast of Est Taiyar fast-travel post.
  5. West of Erde fast-travel post (Had two enemies spawn after clearing the camp, so watch for that).
  6. Northwest of Sarrasin Grange fast-travel post.
  7. Northeast of the Bowdon fast-travel post.
  8. East of the previous camp.

Start off by visiting the new village settlement at Brunwich and reading all the notes on the notice board. This will reveal all of the undiscovered locations on the world map in Novigrad, represented by question marks. Like the base game, these question marks will, once uncovered, reveal Abandoned Sites, Monster Nests, Bandit Camps, and more.

In total, there are 8 Bandit Camps that you must clear out for this achievement. The opposition in each encampment will vary, but be prepared to go up against 5-8 enemies on average. Once all the Knights have been slain (check the camps thoroughly), make sure to use your Witcher Senses to locate the red-marked chest so you can loot its belongings. While it’s suggested to work on this achievement at your own pace as you progress through the narrative, you can refer to the checklist below for all 8 locations directly as a means of getting this done before you begin questing.

Fallen Knights Campsites

  • Question mark deep within the woods, northeast of Garin Estate
  • Question mark deep within the woods, northwest of Garin Estate
  • Question mark northeast of Brunwich village, along the vertical river
  • Question mark in Buckholt hills, northwest of the Sarrasin Grange fast travel point
  • Question mark southeast of the Upper Hill fast travel point, inside the Zuetzer Castle Ruins
  • Question mark further southeast of the previous Bandit Camp, within the Kilkerinn Ruins
  • Question mark slightly southeast of the Est Tayiar fast travel point (or directly west of the Heddel fast travel point)
  • Question mark slightly northeast of the Vikk Watchtower fast travel point (or directly west of the Erde fast travel point)

Once all 8 campsites have been cleared out and looted, this achievement will unlock.

The picture was found on the Internet. To the unknown author - thanks.

From the mouthpiece: Comrades, there is no need to delete previously made saves! Just start a new game "Hearts of Stone".

Referring to the experience of the players, places numbered 9, 10 and 11 (in the picture) can be skipped.

Note: The trophy dropped immediately after killing the last knight in the camp. It turns out that emptying chests of goods is not a necessary activity, but a useful one (there are a lot of goodies there).

It works (New game), I didn’t delete old saves, the main thing is not to take anything from the quests, just the announcement from the seven cats. Then we immediately clear the map. I did it according to the numbers on the map, I think the order is not important, but it’s better not to risk it. There are 50 enemies in total.
By points on the map:
1.-6
2.-11
3.-6
4.-4
5.-5
6.-6
7.-6
8.-6

So I got the trophy!! I immediately went to the camps! I didn’t take on any tasks.
First - 6 7 8 1 2 3 5 and that's it!! They gave me the trophy. I didn’t go to camps 4 9 10 11.
I searched all the corpses and all the red chests. I took all the things into my inventory. I read all the letters.
This is the easiest way to get a trophy out of all the written tips.

I got it in the following way: I started from scratch, erased all the saves from the curling iron (transferred to the cloud), started only the addition, took an ad from seven cats and in the village where the wedding will be. Then I started going through it in this order. 1.2.3.4.5.8.7.6. In all the videos and screenshots, this achievement is obtained precisely at the sixth camp.

After patch 1.12, just visit locations 2 and 3. Open the active chests that appear there and get a trophy. Of course, provided that all locations were cleared earlier...

Dear friends, do not mislead yourselves.
Just go and clear the camps and everything will work out for you. There’s nothing to read or collect, just kill the knights and that’s it.

I confirm that the trophy can be obtained without deleting the save by starting a new game. It is possible that the bug occurs in the 5th camp. There, monsters attacked the knights and killed one, therefore they did not give the trophy. Save before the 5th camp just in case. Execution order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 7, 6.

Ambush at Camp 5. Save before your visit. Animals attack the camp, and if you allow at least one of the enemies to die at their hands, the trophy will not be counted. There should be 5 enemies. Carefully count the dead and corpses on the ground. If you see a knight who did not die from your sword, load up and repeat the visit.

With patch 1.12, the prize falls in the scenario if you make 8 bandit camps on this map (either rob or don’t rob the chests, it doesn’t matter), the main thing is to kill everyone in each of the camps and the prize is yours, you don’t have to delete the saves, just start a new game and On this map we find and kill the bandts in order.

Game version 1.12. I didn't read the hint at first. Cleared a couple of camps (2, 7, 8, 5, 9 on the map) while playing tasks and add-ons. One camp (on map 1) did not open on the map even after clearing, there is a question mark. The weapon caused bleeding, I also actively used the sign of igni, a couple of knights died from bleeding and fire, only then I read the hint. They gave the trophy after clearing all the camps and killing the last knight.

Patch 1.11, the trophy dropped out without starting a new game, it was not on the old saves, in camps 4, 9, 10 and 11, the trophy dropped out even before I had time to clear that conditional last camp, there were still a couple of people left and the chest was not touched. Before taking the trophy, I completed all the quests marked in blue, maybe that's the problem...

U.P.
Two friends used this “method” and the trophy came out right away.

Advice for those who don't get the trophy. Problems may arise in camp No. 3, because... one of the fallen sits in the ruins and does not attack the rampart with the rest. Go around the ruins, climb inside and kill him.

There were no problems with the trophy (1.12). At the end of the main storyline I decided to go through the expansion (I didn’t start a new game +). I cleaned it in a chaotic manner. Then I read the current comments and already thought that everything was lost. When I killed all the knights in the last camp and cleared the red chest, nothing fell out - I thought that I would have to replay it anyway, but it turned out that there were 2 red chests in this camp and after I cleared the second trophy, it immediately fell. So just be careful with the chests.

everything is fine, it seems they patched it - cleaned it up without worrying about bleeding, etc.

the only thing was that there was one camp where one bandit stood at a distance and you might not notice him - maybe that’s why it’s buggy
and loot from some people needs to be removed, it seems

The place numbered 9, indicated in the first clue, I didn’t have anyone, moreover, there was just a forest there and there wasn’t even a tent, let alone a camp.
I ran through places I had never been before. I got through 6 places and got the trophy.

Version 1.31. I ran through the camps in random order. The trophy was given after opening the last chest in the camp. After killing the last knight, the trophy was not given. Only after opening the chest!

I confirm that everything is fixed in version 1.31. After clearing the last camp and chest, the trophy dropped. So, it is not necessary to start only stone hearts separately for this trophy.

The trophy dropped after the last 8 red chest in their camps was searched. This is a prerequisite for receiving the trophy. I had to return to one of the camps and search the chest, after which the trophy fell out.

I received an achievement at camp 11 (on the map above), while camps 4, 9, 10 were skipped. He used magic against his enemies, and there was oil on his sword against people. The trophy dropped when I looted a chest in the 11th camp. The trophy was obtained after completing Stone Hearts, and halfway through Blood and Wine.

I took this trophy without straining! First of all, you don't need to launch a new game+. After completing the story, I immediately started the Hearts of Stone expansion and went through all the camps. He took everything that was in the red boxes. Killed all the fallen knights. The trophy popped up after I picked up the loot from the last box.
Once again, no need to start a new game+.

Dropped out after clearing the last camp. By clearing I mean killing all the warriors and collecting loot from their corpses, as well as collecting junk from chests that glow red in the witcher’s vision.

In short, you need to get a mark on the map that the camp has been cleared. He used oil, many died from bleeding. At the same time, he killed enemies with arrows

Came out great.
First, I completed a quest from an Ophir merchant to find drawings, then cleared the last points without 9,10,11. Only the chest was looted, the corpses were not looted.

On the map from the first clue there is the location of camp 9, in this area there is a sprinkled entrance to the basement, as I understand it, you can’t get there without the quest “From Distant Ophir”. Well, or try to dig it up without a quest, maybe it will work. By the way, the trophy fell even before this camp was cleared.

The trophy is glitchy if you play in addition from your save.
Launch "New Game" / Only "Stone Hearts" - then the trophy will appear the first time.
You only need to clear 8 bandit camps (the icon is a fire and a sword under it), on the map above they are indicated by numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 - the rest is all unnecessary.

100% working way to get this damn achievement! 7 unsuccessful attempts to finally find the same damn algorithm. I re-read different guides, from foreign ones to ours, but everywhere people got achievements in a way that didn’t work for me. So:
1) Create a new game on easy difficulty level
2) We pump up the melee combat branch (you can pump up bleeding, death from it counts)
3) We run along the main quest and take the task from the board at the tavern
4) Teleport to the “hut on the outskirts” and run to Olgerd, killing the knights in the 11th place (see the map in the tips)
5) Search each knight’s corpse and read all the notes
6) Take Olgerd’s task and add. the girl’s task (to find her “colleague”), who finds us on the threshold when leaving the house.
7) We run to take the quest from the rune master (blue) and give him 5t and take a new square. to find Kyle.
8) We carry out the task of the girl, along the way we will drop into several camps of the knights, including the important 7th place. We pluck every corpse and read every note. You only need to open the main chest (the one that glows red in the area). You don't have to take the girl's quest.
9) Next, we go through the knights’ camps in any order, BUT there are several nuances: save before camp 5, and kill people there only when there is NO bear there. If there is a bear, then load up and run to the 5th place again. Archers in camps should not finish off your knights with their arrows! Kill the archers first. In total, with 8 (1-8, out of 11 knight camps we do not count) camps, you must kill 51 knights ! In the last camp I didn’t even have to open the chest before the damn achievement came out.

In order to get this achievement, you need to actually start a new game - Hearts of Stone.

Attention! Before doing this, first delete all saves, absolutely everything related to the passage of the main game in the menu of the game itself. And only then start a new game. Make a copy of your save files in advance.

This trophy does not work with main game saves. Or it doesn't work correctly. Therefore, to avoid going through camps ten times, while collecting everything you can, despite the fact that it is pointless, do as I wrote. You will receive the achievement with a probability of 99.9%.

Next you need to run through 8 camps as shown in the screenshot above. It is not necessary to attend 9, 10, 11.
After killing the knights, search them. Also, in camps, open only the main chest. There is no need to search everything.

It will take no more than 30 minutes to get this achievement.

Continued in 1.12 with a character from New Game+ after replaying the game, the trophy dropped the first time. He cleared the camps not in the specified order, and did not limit himself in any way in the use of signs/decoctions and weapons.

Guys, you came up with some incomprehensible conditions for yourself. First, I walked through all the points marked on the map, killed everyone, and didn’t give me the trophy. I ran again, collecting all the red chests, because the first time I was in a hurry because I had to go to the store. And after I took the chest in the hut, the trophy fell out. MAIN CHESTS!!!

The trophy is truly incomprehensible. I started only stone hearts, since they didn’t drop out in the main story. I began to clear the camps in order. The first three camps I collected all the loot, but then I gave up and just cleared the camps. After I cleared it, the trophy did not fall out, but it did fall out after I took the last two chests. It turns out that either not all chests are needed, or only certain ones. And you can’t even understand if it’s a bug or just random, or maybe some other specific condition is required.

Everything is much simpler than you think! The whole point is that the weapon should not have any effects (bleeding, poisoning, etc.), this also applies to skills, since if in a fight the enemy dies not from the sword, but from the effect, then he is not protected and you won't get a trophy!!! As for the monsters in camp 5, the same thing, no one should die from them! I cleared the camps five times, but they only gave me the trophy when I removed all the effects from the weapon.

I launched a New Game from the Main Menu - Only Stone Hearts.
I took the main quest and rode off to clear out specifically the Knights’ Camps (that is, exactly 8 new markers designated as “Robbers’ Camp”; I didn’t go to the place of the new hostage, nor to the abandoned settlement, nor to the shelter and cellar of the Knights at all).
I killed everyone and collected only the “main” (red) chest.
As a result, the trophy fell out at the moment of the death of the last knight in camp 8 (the chest, of course, I had not yet had time to open).

After the release of patch 1.12, the problem with obtaining the trophy was fixed.
If you killed all the knights before the patch came out, run through their camps again. In camps number 2 and 3 I found chests highlighted in red, after I took things from them, the trophy fell out. It is not necessary to start a new game.
