How to unlock the Return to Sender achievement in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Definitive Guide
To deflect arrows back you must have at least two points into your "Arrow deflection" skill (center one) in the combat tree, if you put three points in the deflected arrows will do double damage. And in case you forgot how to deflect arrows it's the same as to parry, the LT button, but of course you have to time it when the arrow fires. *ALSO don't forget you will need to put the arrow deflection skill in a active skill slot in order to actually deflect them* (Credit to William723 for reminding me about that.)
Now the easy part, just find a bandit camp you haven't cleared yet (from this new dlc). There is usually at least 1 guy with a crossbow at every camp. Kill all the other guys around him. Now just parry and deflect his arrows back at him until he dies. Do this to three guys and the achievement will pop.
If your struggling to find bandits with Crossbows, I found a camp to the South of the "Upper Mill" marker. To the South of a marker called "Zuetzer Castle". The bandit camp there had three crossbowman. (For me at least).
(Reloading your save to kill the same person will NOT work.)
Also, you might wanna add: make sure arrow deflection is activated in the character menu. Just in case anyone returning to the game is as dumb as I am & is wondering why they aren't deflecting anything.
to unlock this trophy you need to have the special ability "deflect arrows" in the first tree.
Easily doable when you do the Trophy where you have to find and destroy all the rebel camps.
In every camp there are at least 2 archers. Just kill everyone except the archers, and when your hear the sound of an arrow use
It will take a bit. Hope it helped.
You will need to have the "Arrow Deflection" skill leveled up fully under the Combat category. Any person with a bow will do. You can beat them down so they have a little health left to make it easier. Once they fire the arrow, press before it hits you and it should deflect it back at them and kill them if they are at low enough health. Kill 3 different people this way for the trophy.
Before attempting this achievement, it is necessary that you grab all three ranks of Defense’s “Arrow Deflection” perk in the Combat skill tree and apply it to an empty slot in your active skill set. If you don’t have any skill points available to do this, you’ll have to purchase and consume a Potion of Clearance. This perk, as the description states, will allow you to reflect back arrows and deal double damage to the attacker if you pull off a perfectly timed parry.
Once engaged in combat with a bowman, put some serious distance between the two of you. The further away you are, the easier it is to spot an arrow soaring through the air. Now wait until the enemy begins to draw the bow (or crossbow), and then parry (hold the left trigger) just when the arrow is near. If timed perfectly, this will cause Geralt to parry the arrow with his steel sword, automatically causing the projectile to fly right back at the attacker. It will usually take four-five reflected attacks (or more depending on the aggressor’s level) to kill the bowman you’re engaging.
Once you get the hang of pulling off well-timed parries after your first successful attack, repeat this process twice more throughout your playthrough to unlock the achievement.
Important : if your armor is enchanted with a runic word to reflect arrows, the trophy will not drop.
