The very first thing you have to do in Career Mode is sing for the judges in order to move on to the Boot Camp round. Just pick a song you're comfortable with and aim to do as best as you can (you don't have to be perfect by any stretch). After you complete the song and get a vote of "Yes", you will move on to the Boot Camp round and the trophy will pop!
