How to unlock the Ghost achievement in theHunter: Call of the Wild - Definitive Guide
So after what felt like an eternity (probably closer to 30 hours) and some 500 dead wolves later, I've come to understand and theorize on some things that could speed things up for you. I've added a revision upon doing more research which should polish this solution and make it more effective.
UPDATE: Here is a revised map that shows my tent placements, the lakes where wolves spawn, and the locations where I mostly found them (painted in red around the lakes)
Here is a link to a map.
It has come to my attention that once spawned, animals will always return to the same zones over and over. It's also my theory that one albino may be spawned at a time, so if you look at the same lakes over and over and leave one out, you risk missing the albino and killing wolves forever (which I believe happened to me). So make sure to look around ALL the lakes if you feel you've been unable to find an albino.
Another thing about spawns. You'll have to kill every wolf you find, as killing one spawns another at a random location with a random chance of being the albino.
Wolves drink from 23:00 to 03:00.
Ignore rest and feed zones.
So first of all I recommend using the quad during the day and set as many tents as you can possibly buy around the lakes marked on the map. You can use my tent setup which I've personally found effective, but you'll want to cover as many lakes as possible, and as much of their shores as possible.
As for equipment, I recommend the 300 with polymer and the argus or hyperion scopes. 300 drops em fast and reliably with lung shots.
.303 is great if you want to get high ratings, but it's not needed.
Heavily recommend maxing the Track Investigation perk, which allows you to see the tracked animal's fur type (examine a track, then pause and look on the right for the animal information). I liked to examine every track after having murdered a pack, to make sure an albino wasn't amongst them and may have run off.
Simply fast travel from tent to tent, scanning the shore lines of every lake marked on the map above.
If you end up not finding any more, or it's passed 03:00, I recommend resting to 23:00, and then closing the game and reopening it. In my experience, it resets spawns.
Good luck and good hunting. Trust me, it's somewhere out there. I nearly had a panic attack when I saw it and it ran off. Patience will reward you.

Thanks!
I'm myself still hunting daily for albinos to let people get their achievement! I've found 3 so far, and I'll look at the areas you've added to see if I can find some there, too, thanks!
If you've killed 700, it may mean the albino is already spawned, look for lakes you've never visited before!! Good luck ;)
