How to unlock the Head, Shoulders, Knees, And Toes achievement in theHunter: Call of the Wild - Definitive Guide
Simple achievement. For this, make sure that it is an animal you can claim afterwards. Meaning no squirrels or rabbits.
I am unsure if you have to be in this position when the animal drops or when you shoot it. In this case, it may be best to remain in this position until the animal dies. However, that may not even happen depending on where you hit it.
For beginners, the starting rifle is highly effective against Roe deer (does) on the German map. Either aim for the heart and lungs to get a vital shot or try your chances with a headshot or neckshot and risk the chance of the deer running off with a flesh wound which it may recover from.
So the 3 stances are standing, crouched & prone. Shoot 3 different animals from those 3 positions which you can select by pressing B to crouch or stand, and holding B to go prone.
I would recommend either vitally shooting the deer in the heart or lungs, or getting a headshot. If the deer does not drop at least a Low amount of blood (Not very low), I wouldn't even bother tracking it. When headshotting, don't even bother tracking if it doesn't die right there on the spot.
