How to unlock the Jack Of All Trades achievement in theHunter: Call of the Wild - Definitive Guide
To unlock this achievement, you need to harvest 4 animals (they DO NOT have to be different species, just different animals) after killing them with each of the 4 weapon types.
NOTE
To prevent issues I recommend killing each animal solely using 1 weapon type. I am unsure if the achievement would work if you scored a flesh wound with a rifle (for example) then finished the animal off, scoring the fatal hit with something different
Rifle
You will complete this part through natural gameplay, no specific assistance should be required here.
Bow
The first available bow is the Razorblack Lite CB-60, it will cost you $6000, plus approx $500 for a stack of 300gr Arrows
With this bow you will only realistically be able to score easy kills on the smaller game (Roe / Fallow / Whitetail / Blacktail deer) as they are inaccurate and require you to be very close (50m max but I recommend no more than 20 - 25m otherwise you're at higher risk of missing)
I recommend locating a resting zone or similar area where a small herd of deer are laying down, and sneaking up (crawling) to within 25m, and trying to secure a definite kill by shooting the lungs. You may have to follow for a while, but you're much more likely to make the shot and guarantee a dead deer to harvest.
Pistol
Similar to the bow, you are going to want to get in very close (50m or less) as early on in the game you will only have available the Focoso 357 handgun, and not have access to any scopes for it.
The gun itself will set you back $6000, with another approx $300 for a stack of 10 Jacketed Hollow point bullets.
I found the pistol easier to aim quickly than the bow, and as such had the most luck by sitting on the edge of a field using my Roe Deer caller to entice one over. The .357 makes very quick work of a Roe Deer (and indeed whitetail) with any vital hit, personally I again aim for the lungs to ensure the kill.
Shotgun
By far the hardest weapon (in my opinion) to score a kill with. The first shotgun available is the Caversham Steward 12G, which will again set you back $6000, with a further $400 or so for a stack of 12ga Birdshot rounds.
Now, the shotgun has a miniscule range where I found it to be truly effective, anything more than 25m is a complete waste of time as you will only ever score flesh wounds and rarely kill the animal, in my experience
The only way I had ANY luck with securing a shotgun kill was to lure the smallest deer in the game (Roe) to a bush I was hiding in, and blast it in the face from around 12m
This however worked on 4 consecutive occasions, so it shouldn't be too difficult to lure in and kill the easiest prey in the game.
TLDR
Score a kill with:
Rifle, Bow, Pistol & Shotgun
Total cost for achievement
$18000 - Weapon Purchase costs
$1400 (approx) - Ammunition costs

Just an FYI, if you have the Medved-Taiga DLC, you get a free shotgun by progressing through the story missions, Grankin's Shotgun, which is a premium version of the Caversham Steward. No need to buy in that scenario.

I don’t know if this is something specific to the game pass version, but in that one you start out with a shotgun and a pistol, and would only need to buy the bow.
