theHunter: Call of the Wild

This achievement can be annoying because most of the time you will just get a flesh wound or you will miss the brain completely and either hit the neck, jaw or somewhere else very close.

I wanted to start off with this achievement so I used the starter rifle you get. I was also playing on the German map. Roe deer (does) seem to have the weakest skulls so go after them. You can buy better ammo for the gun if you wish, which will help out significantly.

Once you shoot a deer in the brain, it should drop dead immediately. If not, it just hit the skull and the deer did not get hit in the brain obviously. Once you scan the deer make sure to check and see if it mentions that it was shot in the brain on the right side.

Overall, this achievement is more annoying than anything but with a little bit of randomness and patience, it will be yours.

Got this achievement while on Hirschfelden hunting 10 boar over 100kg for a mission. Turns out that boar have a pretty nice patch on the head you can aim for quite easily to get a perfect shot. Their brains are also a pretty decent size. Use the .270 with polymer tip ammo. Alternatively you can go for the bison with the 7mm and polymer tip ammo. I found both these animals the easiest for this.

This is also not a single animal, it requires 10 brain shots not just 1. The easiest is actually rabbits, just wait for them to stop moving and stick their heads up then go for the head shot. If lucky you'll get the brain as well as skull/flesh and after 10 or more it should pop. I'm sure I've hit a few more than 10 over the course of playing and just got it last night (July 31 2018), in the description as it pops up it says "hit the brain of 10 animals"

So I hope this helps anyone out that seems to be having issues with this achievement thinking its just a single animal and wondering why it doesn't pop after seeing they hit the brain of a kill.
