How to unlock the Mint Condition achievement in Thief - Definitive Guide

Easy if you like to play in true stealth manner. The easiest way to do this is to finish the prologue and first two main chapters with no confrontations. If someone spots you, just restart the last save. So save often!

Maybe a dumb question, but does this need to be done on a "new game" file, or can you go to an existing completed game save and *replay* 3 consecutive chapters without taking damage for this achievement? Thanks!

The latter is fine, a buddy did it that way

Thank you--OK, last dumb question. Do they have to be DIFFERENT chapters, or can you just replay chapter one three times in a row without taking damage? I think I'm going to try it just out of curiosity unless someone already knows the answer. Thanks again!

Do we know if this is attack damage from enemies, or falling damage, or either? There have been a couple of times where I've fallen and taken damage. I wanted to be safe and reloaded a save to be sure, but I am curious on this.

Easiest way to get this achievement: Start a new game with custom difficulty. Select the 'Zero Damage' option - any damage will fail the level. Then start the game. Achievement will pop after completion of the second level as it includes the Prologue.

Easiest if you start with a 700pt+ custom difficulty for that achievement; with 'No Alert' and 'No Focus' on for those achievements as well.

This achievement will come naturally as you work on your Custom-Master playthrough if you use the modifiers and strategy outlined above for "Something to Prove", thanks to the 'Zero Damage' modifier. If you choose to attempt this on a regular playthrough and you take damage from an enemy guard who spots you, load up your last saved checkpoint and try again.

This achievement will most likely come naturally as you work on your Master or Custom-Master playthrough. It is very self-explanatory in nature: simply stay out of harm's way and refrain from engaging in open combat. Garret does not posses the skills and abilities to come out of every fight unscathed, so avoiding conflict all together is key. If for whatever reason you take damage from an enemy guard who spots you, simply load up your last saved checkpoint.

As stated quite obviously in the trophy description, you must complete 3 missions in a row without taking any damage whatsoever to unlock this trophy. You will want to earn this trophy during your second playthrough on this game on Master Custom difficulty, since it would be to your advantage to not engage in combat and stealth your way through each chapter given how limited and constrained you will be with your abilities.

Given the fact that you can pretty much save your game at anytime in this game, and reload back to the exact position in which you saved at, getting this trophy should be a breeze. If at anytime you get hurt or injured, reload your previous save and try again. Keep in mind that the Prologue counts as a mission as well, so consider attempting this trophy by playing Prologue, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2.

The first training mission also counts. So you need to avoid taking damage in the prologue, first and second mission.

To do this, save often , do not jump from a great height (as this can cause you to lose health), and do not engage in combat with enemies who have discovered you. Especially if this is a patrol of two guards. It will be useful to use dodging when the enemy attack. Try to wait for the moment when the enemies have dispersed in different directions, after which you can bypass them and stun them one by one.

If you still receive damage, restart from the last save and go into battle again.

You can also, when passing on a special difficulty, place an item without damage.

Replaying any chapter, even the same one three times, also counts.
