How to unlock the More Heist Less Speed achievement in Thief - Definitive Guide

To unlock this achievement, you must complete Chapter 8: A Dawn's Light having at least 15 hours of playtime according to the timer in the main menu.

You can beat the game, and replay the level at a later time to unlock this achievement. I recommend completing the chapters, then working on Client Jobs and Side Quests within The City. After completing them, you can also idle your character in a safe location in The City to help build up time.

Once the menu timer reaches 15 hours, you can replay Chapter 8 by visiting the South point of Grandmauden. Once you complete the level, the achievement will unlock.

Is it the timer on the main screen or the settings? I'm in my first playthrough and when I boot the game up, it says 15+ hrs but in the settings once I load my actual game, it says like 9.

NM I was looking at the part listed for the city and not overall. I'm over 20 hrs so I'll be good

This does not mean you have to beat the 8th chapter the first time with at least fifteen hours on the clock. You just need to beat chapter 8, at some point, with at least fifteen hours on the clock. So say you run through the story and side missions like a chicken with its head cut off, and you didn't meet the requirements for that trophy when you beat the game. That's okay, go back and play the last level after you get enough time, and the trophy will pop. Hooray for loopholes.

This should come naturally if you take your time, complete all the side jobs and go for all the collectibles. You can check you total playtime in the Player Progression section of the menu. If you are approaching the end game and are still somewhat short you can leave your game idling for a few hours to make up the difference.

NOTE: If you do complete the main story short of the fifteen hour mark it has been confirmed that you can go back out into the city, finish up anything you need or simply idle to pass the time, then go back and complete Chapter 8 again to unlock the achievement.

You must acquire a total of 15 hours of gameplay time to unlock this trophy. Replaying Chapter 8 once you've beaten the game already will unlock this trophy if you have accumulated the 15 hours of play time. The last chapter in Thief is Chapter 8. If you've followed our suggestion in the roadmap about doing everything you possibly can on your first playthrough, you should have no problem getting over 15 hours of playtime. You can check at any time how many hours you've played through the main game menu, when you're hovering over your save file or the "continue" option.

Of course if you want to just leave your console running so you can get the 15 hours like so, you are welcome to do that as well. Simply find a roof and leave Garrett idle there so he's safe from harm.

You'll probably get this trophy the first time you beat the game. The time in the game can be viewed in the statistics menu.

I don’t know where I can spend so much time, but when I entered the 7th mission I had 9 hours of play, and considering that the 8th mission starts immediately after it, without asking, I had to waste time stupidly... I stood and waited in the corner , so as not to replay, periodically saving (suddenly something happens)

Personally, I managed to collect all the trophies, caches and completed all Basso’s orders in 13 hours (+ replayed mission 5 several times), even ???? I collected pickpockets in less than an hour (about 40 left). The only thing I didn’t go through was the extra mission with the bank (no extra). So I had to stand in the corner(

After completing the main story, the timer for staying in the game does not stop, that is, 8 chapters have passed with collecting all the caches and treasures, it will take 9-10 hours, then wander freely around the city in order to collect everything valuable and complete additional tasks. The missions will take another 6-7 hours, after which we look at the statistics to make sure that more than 15 hours have been played and we replay chapter 8, the trophy will appear immediately upon completion of the chapter, there is no need to replay the game first and there is no need to stand in the corner either.

This means that you have to go 15 hours or more to the last mission. The trophy is given in the final cutscene. If you complete the game in less time, you will not receive the trophy and either load the previous save or start the game over. After passing, the counter does not count. The time can be viewed in the statistics.
