How to unlock the Book Worm achievement in Thimbleweed Park - Definitive Guide

In Delores's flashback you must solve a puzzle that involves going into the library in the Mansion mansion to look for a book on programming. Once you activate that portion of the puzzle, you'll notice that there's lots of books on the shelves in the library. Each of these were written by Kickstarter funders. "Look at" 100 of these books (make sure to open the cover or it won't implement), and you'll have an easy 50G.
*edit* Several people have confirmed that you don't need to open the book to actually have the achievement implement, so that will save even more time if you're not feeling like reading.

Can confirm. Had the tracker open while doing it, just looking at the book is enough. They DO need to be 100 different books but no need to open the cover.

Make sure that you use the "Look at" function to click on the books, not the "Open" function. Using "Open" lets you view and read the book the same way as "Look at" but it does NOT count toward the achievement. I "opened" 100 books and it didn't work, and then I had to do it all over again with "Look at."

Anyone have issues with this not unlocking on windows 10? I haven't tried on console, just asking. I haven't counted but I swear I've done 100...

Simply just hit The X Button on the book and move to the next. You can use the Achievement Tracker to help you see how far you are.

win 10: counter says 122 books. won't pop.

edit: it popped at like 130. I think it was either REALLY slow in popping or they need to be 100 differnt books and some of the one I clicked on were the same, so counted on the Xbox app but not towards the acheivment.

The solution doesn’t mention it, but yes it needs to be 100 different books.

1 book = book and 2+ = books. Not to be unkind, but the achievement is pretty specific that it's not a single book 100 times. If you read 4 books 25 times each you still only read 4 books versus 100.

Achievement titles and descriptions are often wrong, sometimes requiring to do something more specific than described, and sometimes something less specific.

It happens all the time, so it doesn’t really matter if an achievement description is specific or not, if there’s any chance of misinterpretation then it’s good to be specific in the solution.

Played on Win 10, its 100 DIFFERENT books. No need to open cover, right-click then close with ESC is fine.

In the library of the Edmund mansion, you will find a ton of books. For a book to count as read, you can't just hover over the title; you have to look at the book to bring up the cover, then open the book. Once you've done that, it will count as one book read. Do this to 100 books (there are more than enough in the library) to unlock this trophy.

Note that reading the books in Occult Books on A Street will not count towards this trophy.

MISSABLE – Chapter 2

In Delores's flashback you will enter the library to look for a book. Once here you will need to interact with 100 different books. A good idea is to go through them left to right, row by row. There’s no real quick way to do this but once you’ve read 100 different books the achievement is yours.

The trophy can be missed.
There is no need to open the book - look at the cover and close it.
