How to unlock the No One Is Home achievement in Thimbleweed Park - Definitive Guide

I wrote down 110 of the phone numbers in case of any possible mistakes and dialed them on agent ray's phone and just thought i would share the numbers in case it helps someone.

Edit: Thanks to Shadow XBL for letting me know 5449 doesn't work (I will put strikethroughs on any wrong numbers)

2nd edit: Thanks to VaderBox for confirming you can work on this throughout the game in different locations. Also thanks to Basileus for correcting the wrong number (5449) which is actually (5459) which i have now changed.

3rd edit: Thanks to A1ienspacebats and ChooseMyFate for stating in the comments that you can hang up the phone after the voicemail and dial the next number without exiting the screen and having to use the phone again. Just push the button at the top of the phone and dial the next number.

3836 2212 2461 5690 7347 8004 1004 5851 8318 1659

I imagine you could do this at any point as agent ray even at the very start of the game but i rang the numbers on B street so cannot confirm for sure.

This can also be worked towards on the Delores flashback, you also do not have to listen to the full message for it to count, but i had the achievement tracker on just to be sure.

I am new to guide writing so will be willing to edit or credit any information that may be of help to others.

Thanks achievement hunters.

Thanks so much! Just to confirm that you can get this achievement throughout the game, at different times and places (did some numbers as Delores on the library, other numbers next day as Franklin at the hotel)

Just a note in case anyone else like me didn't clue in to this until halfway thru...you can hang up the phone after the voicemail and dial the next number without exiting the screen and having to use the phone again. Just push the button at the top of the phone and dial the next number. I felt dumb after I figured this out lol

If your achievement tracker stucks than save your game, pull the power plug out of the Xbox, wait 10 Seconds, power it up again, start game and the tracker should rise again.
Mine stucked at 24% and jumped after the hard reset to 52%
(Tried my best to write in English)

@A1ienspacebats

Came here to state what he said. So much faster to just hear the message, hit the disconnect button where the receiver goes, and punch in the next numbers. Easy Peasy.

I have to keep “using” the phone. The buttons on top hang up the phone and bring me out to main screen. Not sure if there was an update.

Same, but a trick is to use the dpad to quickly access Agent Ray’s cell phone. I’ve gone through the first few pages of the phone book. Good times, some funny voicemails and also some terrible ones.

No y’all, you have to listen to the VM and then click the buttons you would use to hang up a rotary phone, it’s on top of the phone it’s self, not the arrow at the top of the screen.

Make sure you are using the "ROTARY STYLE" TOUCHTONE PHONE if you want the quick hangup. Here is a photo of where the buttons are: https://imgur.com/a/y5OY4Xa

@choosemyfate — Thanks for pointing that out! I was backing completely out and having to re-click Open > Open Telephone each time. Knowing I could simply hang up with that method as soon as it started ringing made things go much faster.

I can confirm you DO NOT need to listen to the whole message after it rings, the VM message will start, hit the buttons on the handset cradle at the top of the phone to end the call as soon as you start to hear the message to get dial tone and dial the next number, rinse and repeat to 100.

Just to avoid confusion as the solution says use agent rays mobile. Mixed with the comments on hanging the phone up with out leaving the screen.
You cannot do this on agent Rays phone. You have to use the phone found in the library of the mansion.

1st: @DrunkenSaMuRaii - thanks for the numbers! Helped me crush this thing.

2nd: I don't know if this works for everyone, but I was able to dial, listened to the phone ring once, and then hung up by pressing the buttons at the top, and it tracked all 100 calls. So basically it was just a phone number type - ring - hang up - repeat. I never actually listened to a single voicemail. Whole process took maybe 5 minutes or so.

This is another achievement to showcase the Kickstarter Backers. In the town on B street there is a telephone book hanging from a broken telephone. If you open the book you can flip through the pages and see names and numbers. The bolded names are those with a voicemail (or answering machine) message. If you dial any of the non bolded numbers those will give you a "we're sorry this number is disconnected" type message and don't count towards the achievement. As Agent Rey you can use your cell phone to dial 100 of these bolded numbers. There are several ways to make the achievement go faster. First take a photo or screenshot of the phone book so you don't need to continually open it to look at the phone numbers. Second, you don't need to listen to the entire message in order for the achievement to implement, just wait for the talking to begin before hanging up (press B instead of having to click the red disconnect button) and you can rinse and repeat. I actually listened to most of the messages I selected as some were relatively amusing, and just skipped listening to those that were in a language I didn't speak. All in, this will take about 20-25 minutes if you rush through every message.

To add from a comment below, this can also be done in Delores' Flashback (phone with book in library) if you activate that before finding the telephone on B street.

To also add from the comments, if you're dialing from the payphone you can click the cradle of the phone and not have to exit out to dial again.

I did this one on Delores's Flashback, using the telephone in the library, you have a telephone book there as well, I wrote down the numbers on a paper. Phone 3645, now you only have 99 numbers to dial ;).

You don't have to wait for the answering machine to start or for the first ring. You can exit out directly after punching in the phone number. I tried this and it counted towards to achievement. :)
(I was done in about 10 minutes with photos of the first pages of the phone book)

Great solution, but I wanted to add that if you do end up listening to an entire message (most of them are pretty fun), you can click on the phone cradle (top of the screen) to make another call. Anyone born before 1989 understands that that's just how phones worked back then.

Having been born before 1989, I'm super surprised I didn't notice that (although I did do most of my dialing from the cell phone and not the payphone).

Definitely would add some of the tips that you provided in the comments into your solution for the added exposure, particularly the clicking of the cradle and the fact that you can immediately click that cradle after entering the numbers. Also, for those like myself who enjoy a clear level-of-effort, you'll get the achievement one you get to the letter F.

This game is a Play Anywhere title, this definitely goes much faster when using a mouse. laugh

On B Street in Thimbleweed Park, you will find a payphone and a phone book. Inside the phone book are the phone numbers of a ton of the game's Kickstarter backers. You will need to call 100 of them and listen to their voicemail messages to unlock this trophy. You don't have to listen to the entire voice message, but you do need to wait until the voice message starts for it to count.

Either use the phone in the library or Ray's cell phone in her inventory. You will need to keep your own records of numbers – the game will not remember them for you – but the phone book will check off numbers you have already called. Just about every room in the hotel has a phone book and phone as well. Note that Franklin cannot use the phone book (except during his flashback).

Note that only the bolded names in the phone book will have voicemail messages, so don't bother calling the greyed out numbers. If you just go page by page, this should unlock near the end of the sixth page of the A tab. If you're just doing one page per letter, this should unlock somewhere in F.

For fun, try calling Dave Grossman, David Fox and Gary Winnick – they're old LucasArts developers and worked on Maniac Mansion/Day of the Tentacle. Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer don't have voicemails. Neil Cicierega (Potter Puppet Pals) also has one. I'm not in it (I know!), so don't look for me.

MISSABLE – Chapter 2

In Delores's flashback you will enter the library and over to the right will see a telephone and an address book. You need to go through the address book making note of the four digit numbers (bolded numbers as the unbolded numbers do not count) and then ring each of these to activate a voice message. You do not need to listen to the full message to make it count. Once you go through 100 different messages the achievement will unlock.

This can also be done with Ray using her mobile phone and the address book found near the payphone in street B.

The trophy can be missed.
You should only call the numbers listed in bold in the phone book. The game ticks the numbers on which the answering machine was heard.

You can beat in several approaches with different characters in different chapters from different phones - all progress is saved.
We photograph 5-6 sheets of the directory on our real cell phone, open a landline phone in the game (Agent Ray’s cell phone can also be used, but it will take much longer, because there is no reset button on the cell phone), using the photographs we dial the bold numbers from the directory.
There is no need to listen to the answering machine until the end; as soon as the beeps have passed and the recording has started playing, we reset the call (the reset buttons are under the handset of the landline phone, in case someone doesn’t know))) and dial the next number from the directory. The main thing is not to leave the dialing screen after each answering machine you listen to - it will take too long, you need to use call reset.
This method takes about half an hour.
