How to unlock the Diary: Innocent children achievement in This War of Mine: Final Cut - Definitive Guide
This achievement is in the Fading Embers Story. You get it for helping smuggle the Orphans out of the city. There are a few steps to this, but it isn't hard to do.
-Go to Supermarket and talk to the boy walking around.
-Go to Orphanage and help dig some rubble on the top floor to save a boy.
-Meet Adam, he will ask for 10 fuel to keep the kids warm. (As far as I can tell the children will not all die if you wait a few days to bring them fuel, but I would recommend waiting until day 13/14 before visiting them the first time just to be safe.)
-You can either bring him 10 fuel you have from breaking art/wood or you can wait until the Gas Station is available to visit. (There is a free Hatchet there)
-The Gas Station becomes available starting on Day 15, but I noticed it didn't spawn in until I visited the Orphanage for the first time.
-If you brought the Hatchet go nuts on all the furniture in the building, there should be about 6 things you can chop up, plenty of fuel to spare to Adam.
-Come back the next day and talk to everyone. (There will be a girl asking for a book, I recommend you DON'T give it to her as it is not necessary.)
-You now have Railway Station unlocked on the map, go there.
-Walk to the bottom and talk to the men, he will ask you for an important religious item to smuggle the kids.
-Come back later and give it to him. Warning: Ruben will be VERY upset and will leave you after you do this.
Achievement should unlock when you give the man the art piece.
