How to unlock the Note: Malik on duty achievement in This War of Mine: Final Cut - Definitive Guide
This achievement is highly missable and at the time of writing, can be buggy. You must broadcast/receive 26 messages for this achievement to pop. It should unlock immediately after the 26th message, but I found it not always to unlock on the 26th. If it doesn't then you should immediately quit the game and retry the day. What I did was just advance more days, and try and receive messages and talk to traders for news. I did this for 4 more days and then I tried broadcasting that same 26th message again and this time it unlocked for some reason.
Very important: Your last message should be "The army has committed yet another war crime. People were shelled while waiting for water at the old brewery...". This is because after this message, Malik will no longer be available. This message is after you come back from the brewery attack. It doesn't matter where you scavenge after this, if you leave the house then he will be gone and there will not be any more chances to broadcast messages.
There will be 16 broadcast messages and 10 receive messages. Make sure you listen to the radio each day with Malik and always talk to the person that comes to the door as well as a note that gets left by front door. Also make sure you talk to Malik each day if you can. You must also fully explore the areas which contain information. The Warehouse does not contain any news and does not have to be visited. If the Decrepit Squat is available, that means you have already passed the point of no return and will need to play through again. Not all playthroughs are the same and radio and trader messages can be different days or order. The weather is always the same however.

One note: you can lie to Malik and still get this. You don't need to be thanked, you just need to hear about the results.
Also, I did not broadcast the brewery. I didn't visit this because I was waiting for the rest of the news.
I did not broadcast about cigarette prices. Here's a list of what I got in order:
1) Broadcast - Army Truck (Gas Station)
2) Broadcast - Military is threatening (Ghost House? Maybe not?)
3) Broadcast - Coffee prices going up (Person at door)
4) Broadcast - Basement has a lot of fuel (Gas Station... I forgot to get this the first visit and went back)
5) Received - It appears that clashes are going to intensify
6) Broadcast - Rebel forces and government are engaged in skirmishes
7) Broadcast - Avoid the sniper (Park)
8) Received - Sniper is compromised
9) Broadcast - Army is holding prisoners (Central Square)
10) Received - Sniper thanks
11) Broadcast - Person trapped in basement (Toy Store)

I really wish the devs would fix this. It's hands down the most bullshit achievement I've ever tried to get in my life. I've played through at least 8 times and it hasn't popped. I have all 26 broadcasts/transmissions. I've actually had runs where I had a total of 28. Shits infuriating and a total waste of time.
