At least the kid has a new playmate. Maybe it will even be a break from our daily routine here.

How to unlock the Bond for life achievement in This War of Mine: The Little Ones - Definitive Guide

I wanted to post how I got this, because I'm fairly certain this will work for everyone. I tried the above method, talking to the child over and over again every single day with the same character and it didn't work. The problem, I think, is if you try to do it with a child that's already bonded with an adult. So if you start the game with one of the Adult/Child pairs, the only way to do it would be to let their guardian die, then nurse the child back from the Broken state with the same adult and continue to talk to them every day.

The reason I think this is because I talked to the kid every damn day with Marko from day 25 all the way until day 50 when the war ended, and I never got this. I started a new game with the following: Marko, Marin, and Sergei (child). I used Marko to scavenge every day obviously, and I had Marin talk to the kid every day as well as giving the kid food (instead of having the kid eat on his own) on days 3 and 5. On day 7, the achievement unlocked. I tried it with a dummy gamertag with the same setup, and again unlocked the achievement on day 7, but not right away. The first time I talked to the kid on day 7, he didn't bond even though I did everything the same. So I dashboarded out of the game and kept restarting day 7 and talking to the kid until it bonded, which happened on the 3rd try. So, I think it has to be an unbound child (aka no guardian with them), and it has some luck involved with it (as with everything in this terrible game).

Start a new game, with Low intensity conflict, winter set to never, the 8 safest scavenge locations and one highly dangerous one, and the end time set to 20 days. You can knock this achievement out on day 7, then proceed to get Marko gravely wounded in the one dangerous location on Day 8, by which time you should have several bandages and can keep him bedbound and bandaged daily to nurse him back to health to knock out that achievement to.

Brilliant guide! +1
I built a swing set for Sergei and let him play around the house drawing on the walls, etc. Got Better Days achievement too!
Took until Day 10 to finally get them two to bond. Requires patience.
The Lethally Wounded character and finishing the war without being raided didn't pop for me though even though I fulfilled the requirements 😑

Thank you though dude!

For this achievement you will need at least one child in your game. Simply pick an Adult and use that same adult to talk to the child everyday. After about 4-6 days in a row of talking this achievement should pop. Happy Hunting!

This achievement will unlock when you welcome a new person into the house when you already have a child. The new person does not need to be a child, though you will need to have a spot available in your house. So, you cannot have more than a child and two adults since you can't have more than four people in the house at once. If you have a spot available, occasionally the person who randomly comes to your door will be a person seeking shelter. If you allow them to stay, they will join the house and you will unlock the achievement the next day. Some people have reported that this achievement will not unlock until people in the house, especially the child, are friendly with the new person, though. This may happen quickly, or take several days.
