How to unlock the Those gears are turning... achievement in Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales - Definitive Guide

Here is a full playlist of all the puzzles in the game :)
Note: There are story puzzles as well so you will get more than 20 puzzles in your playthrough (I unlocked it in marakhat after the first puzzle although there were 2 others marked on the map)

Are any of these or other achievements missable? Can’t find anything. Appreciate it!

Can you skip them or will that void the achievement?

I have the same question as XiRe x Harvey. I really suck at the card game, so I have to skip a lot of that stuff. Does skipping them void the achievement?

The achievement tracker is a bit buggy for this one. For me it stuck at 80% but the achievement unlocked right after my 20th puzzle without the tracker moving. You also need to actually play the puzzle instead of skipping them,

MISSABLE

Puzzles are marked with a puzzle piece icon on your map. These are specialized battles with unique rules in place which you’ll have to complete specific goals. Find and beat 20 of them. You cannot go back to completed regions, so any puzzles you run across, I suggest completing otherwise you run the risk of not finishing 20 of them if you skip too many.

Puzzles are battles that have a specific goal in mind, as opposed to the general Gwent battles where you simply need to end the round with a higher score. In order to win, you will need destroy a specific card/enemy while not losing any of your own, or clear the board of all cards with only a certain amount of your own. These battles are mostly very easy and there are far more than 20 in the game. It's highly recommended to do them all as some reward you with cards that could help towards unlocking other achievements.

The Puzzles are shown on your map as a piece of a Jigsaw Puzzle and are mostly optional.

Personally, I counted 44 different puzzles in the game. Moreover, one of them is completely educational, where all actions must be performed strictly according to the instructions, and therefore such a “puzzle” can hardly be considered a full-fledged puzzle.

By methodically moving along the map and not disdaining side quests, as well as other exploration of the territory, you are guaranteed to come across the required number of these same puzzles (marked with a puzzle sign above any object or character). Another question is whether you can solve the required number of these puzzles, but here everything will depend on your personal abilities, and often on your own inquisitiveness. Most likely, however, even after clearing all the game locations and completing all possible side effects, you will not find all 44 puzzles on your first playthrough. The reason for this will be some ambiguous and not obvious, and often downright harmful decisions that will need to be made in order to gain access to this or that puzzle.

Below I am attaching a link to a playlist with videos for going through all 43 (training does not count) puzzles that I was able to discover during several playthroughs of this game. Before using the suggested tips, keep in mind that you can get much more interest and pleasure only from completing these puzzles yourself. In order not to spoil various parts of the map and, in fact, the plot itself, in the video I did not indicate the locations and exact locations of certain puzzles, but each of them has its own game name, which can be seen during the initial loading of the battle:

Moreover, you need to complete the puzzles yourself; if you miss (there is such an option at the easy level), you won’t get the trophy)
