How to unlock the Chocolate Exporter achievement in Ticket to Ride: Classic Edition - Definitive Guide
Hey achievement hunters,
My first ever solution since I just won this and saw no one wrote on it. Plus I love board games. I recommend these steps.
1) Ensure your Destination Cards are all Country based. I had two France and one Italy based Country cards in my hand when I attempted this. Remember you have to win the game, so doubling up on points is super helpful. This is essentially an all-or-nothing strategy. Either you connect all countries and win with the destination cards or you don't. Restart if you don't have at least three Country Cards for your destinations. This is probably the most important step.
2) I found that Italy and Austria were the tougher countries to reach. I recommend starting in those two countries and moving towards France and Germany. You have more routes to connect if you get blocked.
3) I would start in Italy and head north to Brig and then Interlaken. Same thing with Austria. I would go to Vaduz and then St. Gallen. After those moves, you are just trying to connect to your broader trains.
4) Essentially, try to build all four countries towards each other. Again, you either win with four connections or you don't, so always build towards those links. The AI will block you once in awhile but that's why you start with Italy and Austria. Build out from there so you have more alternate routes to France and Germany. I think I ended at La Chauex de Fonds and Basel even though they weren't my original targets. Build out from each country until you get them to join.
Good luck hunters!
