Seems to be partly luck, as I got this without trying.
I suspect the best method is to collect cards and place your trains as fast as you can thus ending the game quickly. That way you might cut off your opponent before they have a chance to finish a ticket
Best to try and get this with one AI opponent (less chances of anyone getting a ticket).
To increase your chances:
- Look at what routes your opponent claims. If they are obviously going for a long line, try to block them with your trains.
- Try against Marg Loughbot as she is apparently least focused on completing tickets.
- Or try Jane Stanbot, she apparently draws and holds a lot of cards, meaning if you play quick you could end the game before she lays all her trains
- Try to only draw train cards you need for your routes, and don't pick extra tickets or locomotives unless you really need to. You want to end the end quickly, so the fewer turns spent picking up cards, the better.

How can I tell what route they claim? I have tried looking at their hand and when I pick my two, I can't figure out how you know exactly what they have

Hi Katam. You can't see what they have. Figuring out where they will play is more guess work than science. You can look at their trains on the board, if they've made a long line you might be able to take the routes at the end of that line so that it cannot go any further. If you are really trying hard, you could look at what cards they take from the face up selection and keep track, but I have never bothered with that.
