How to unlock the Orient Express achievement in Ticket to Ride: Classic Edition - Definitive Guide

For this achievement you have to score more points than your opponent(s) and make sure to connect these cities:
- London
- Paris
- München
- Wien
- Budapest
- Bucaresti
- Constantinople
Make sure you are playing the standard European map, playing any other European map and meeting the requirements will not unlock this achievement!
For this route you need a minimal of 19 trains, which would mean that you have 45 - 19 = 26 trains left for completing any destination tickets you have drawn and scoring some points, or preventing your opponent(s) from getting too many. It is advised to restart the game until you have destination tickets that somewhat match the route needed for this achievement. In my achievement-winning game I started out with these, which worked out fine:
- København to Erzurum
- Berlin to Bucharesti
There is not really a possibility to create an easy-to-follow guide. Instead I can give some insight in the process I went through to score enough points. After I completed the route needed for the achievement and the destination tickets I picked at the beginning of the game, I tried my luck and drew a new destination ticket. As I was lucky enough to draw Marseille - Essen, it was just one extra connection between the already connected cities of Paris and Marseille. With just 8 trains left, I tried my luck again. I picked Bruxelles - Danzig, which also only needed one extra connection. In the next turn my opponent blocked this route which ended up me and my opponent only having one last turn. To make the best of it I connected Palermo - Smyrna with the 6-piece track, giving me an extra 15 points in the last turn.
My yellow railway network ended up with 122 points, which was more than Marg Loughbot's 105 points. As a visual aid for those who are in need, this is my achievement-winning game:
I am not sure whether you can still receive this achievement when connecting through your opponent's railway by placing a station. If someone could let me know in the comments, I can add it to this solution and give you credits!
