How to unlock the Hand Car achievement in Ticket to Ride - Definitive Guide

This trophy is titled "Hand Car" and it requires you to win a match within the USA without the use of any locomotive cards.
The locomotive cards stand out as they have small boxes in them with each color and, you know, a locomotive engine on it. These are wild cards and can be substituted with any missing cards when claiming a route.
During your game, try to only claim the colored car cards. If you get some locomotives, don't worry about it. When you're claiming a route, just look at what cards will be used before claiming. If a locomotive card is displayed, cycle through the usable cards with L1
/L2 
and R1 
/R2 
until the locomotive is not selected.
After that, same basics apply. Connect your Routes to complete your Tickets while having the longest overall Route. At the end, if you've won, congratulations! You'll have earned the Hand Car Trophy:
