First things first, let's score some boost pins to equip for our 18 hole round. Head to the EA Store on the Main Menu and select "get boost pins". If you have less than 4000 coins or just starting the game for the 1st time purchase the Starter Combo pack. Good news is this pack requires 0 coins to purchase and comes with 3 golfers, 5 boost pins + 2 course pins. Make sure to take the entire pin collection by pressing the "Y" button.
Select your favorite course and you will prompted to add pins in the golfer selection menu. You can add 3 pins so make sure to equip at least 2 boost pins, 3rd pin could be golfer + attributes or another boost pin, choice is entirely yours but ensure at least 2 boost pins are equipped before starting the round.

Simply complete the round and the achievement will unlock. If you're like me and snagged the Collector's Edition you can unlock this achievement even quicker. Select the Augusta Par 3 course, once again making sure at least 2 boost pins are equipped, and complete the round. Great news here is that there are only nine par 3 holes to complete on this course and it's considered an 18 hole round of play !! This is how I unlocked the achievement.

Well now, this is becoming interesting. So much for the Starter Combo pack actually being there for all users to purchase at start of game. Did you guys visit the EA Store to view purchaseable packs before commencing your 1st round of play in the game ??
Just for the record I have the Collector's Edition and did play the demo. Maybe like mfeforever suggests I opened the starter pack in the demo and used some of the pins in the trial version. Maybe like Ghoul states "so who knows ??" I agree. This is an EA Sports title and wacky things can and do happen. Good feedback gents !!

I'm not seeing the Starter Combo pack, only the Combo Pack for 4000 coins. Is this because I have the Collector's Edition and it doesn't have it?

I didn't see it either. But I have 5 of several pins. This may be the result of playing the demo and opening youir starter pack there.

I never touched the demo, but when I was working on some of the online Club achievements I found out I had Pins already. So who knows?

Simply play any round and ensure you select 3 pins to add to your tag on the last screen before starting the round. Also ensure that the setting for the round have Boost Pins enabled. You can purchase boost pins from the in game store with Coins if you do not have enough. It costs 4000 Coins to purchase the cheapest combo pack.

I got this in the very first round I played, along with Tigers Have FIR, From the Ladies Tees and That Was GIRrrreat!. I’d advise you to also try to get all of these in one go.

Go to Play Now, and set up an 18 Hole Strokeplay. Before starting, make sure to add any three of the pins to your tag. From memory, there will be four or five different ones available. When you finish the round, the trophy will pop.
