How to unlock the Don't quit your day job achievement in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 - Definitive Guide

Here's how to make this achievement a bit easier:

* Create a player on Amateur difficulty. If possible, import your XP from TW12, it gives a lot of XP (gave me 75000).
* Immediately go into your player's career, select PGA Tour options. Set PGA Tour events to one (1) round.
* If you have the Collector's Edition, equip the Masters clubs (far left of each club type). They are great clubs.
* If you imported XP, spend it upgrading stats.
* Play through the amateur events, ideally winning each event. On Amateur difficulty, this should be relatively easy, even to a newbie.
* Once you win the Amateur Championship (whichever you choose), you will qualify for the Masters.
* Win the Masters. Keep in mind that if you're doing well and miss a shot, you can "quit and save" and it will reset the hole. If you want to restart from your last save (no matter how many holes it has been since then), you can dashboard and load/continue.
* It pops at the "saving" screen after the event. The other Masters win achievement will pop at the same time if you don't already have it.

Any questions, let me know and I'll try to help. I found that rounds 2-4 were much harder than the first round, more winds and opponents scoring better.

When you create your golfer, it will give you the option as you go through the menus. Once your character is created, you can't go back and do it.

You can also change CPU difficulty from normal to easy, it reduces your XP but who cares its only for 1 tournament

Yeah, that's "Amateur" difficulty in the TW series. I usually play TW games on normal (Pro, I believe) but this year's game pissed me off so much I did it on Amateur just to be done with it.

This is a missable achievement in career mode so beware!! After winning the Amateur Championship, you will qualify for the Masters. Just make sure you win it to unlock the acheivo. Augusta is tough, as you can't use spin to get your shots close, so key to winning is noting how high/low the flag is, as you will constantly need to go up and down clubs with your approaches. Usually if the flag is say above 0-15ft I go up 1 club, 2 clubs if even greater and the same margin when it's below. That said, adjust this depending on wind as well. On pro, I only needed to shoot -6 to come first, playing 4 rounds, so you should be ok - just don't leave yourself too much to do for round 4 as the pins get pretty tough, as does the wind.

You will earn this in conjunction with "Never leave home without it". Simply win the Amateur championship to be invited to the Masters. Once there, simply win the tournament. Turn the setting to Amateur to make winning this easier if you are having trouble.

This will be the fourth tournament you get to play in during the amateur section at the start of career mode. You can gain entry to the Masters as an Amateur by winning the British, American or World Amateur Championship, depending on which one you enter.

If you are worried about winning, play on Amateur difficulty. You will not have the ability to spin the ball in the Masters, but take a little more care with your shots and you should still win this easily enough.
