How to unlock the It's all in the Hips achievement in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 - Definitive Guide
As the description states, make a 40 ft or greater but on any green in the game with any difficulty set. Again the easiest is to set the difficulty to Amateur and play any hole. You can also use the caddy suggestion as well as the putt preview before the putt to line it up as close as possible and just ensure you are greater than 40 ft away from the hole. This will more than likely come naturally playing through career.
You should not have to try for this one, as it will likely come naturally over the course of normal play. If you would like to get it out of the way though, go to St Andrews – Hole 9. It has a large fairly flat green, so knocking in a 40+ foot putt should be easy enough. Some of you are having problems with the putting system, so here are a few tips:
- ‘Guesstimate!’ Before you do anything else, move the marker to where you think you should be aiming. Use the movement markers on the grid lines to get an idea of how much the ball will turn, and whether it will run past or pull up short. The closer you can get this to where it should be, the easier it will be to perfect.
- Next use the putt preview. If you are not a good putter, ALWAYS use the putt preview, no matter how short the putt is. It’s is a free look at exactly what the ball will do, so take advantage of it. If you have made a decent effort of ‘guesstimating’ the right line, you should now see how you can tweak it to line up with the hole.
- Try to be smooth when taking the shot. It is important to keep the ‘stroke’ reasonably straight when putting, so as not to mess with the line. As for timing, use a two count: pull back – push forward. 1 – 2.
- On longer putts, the backswing will take a little longer, but always follow through at the same speed, regardless of whether a putt is 5 inches or 50 feet.
- You will hit the Perfect backswing length for a putt just before or when it just begins to turn red. Try not to overshoot or undercut this window.
- ALWAYS make sure that the ball has enough power to go past the hole. That will mean you always have a chance of getting the putt. Short putts never end well.
- Some people like to draw back very slowly on putts. You should try this out, but be warned that getting the proper follow-through speed can be tricky if the swing is out of rhythm.
- If you find that you still need a little more help, you can always press to get some advice from your caddie. He will give you a heads up on where to aim. Credit to Blessorship.
