How to unlock the Record Breaker achievement in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 - Definitive Guide

This achievement is earned by completing the 14 career goals on the PGA tour. It should go without saying, but begin by qualifying for the PGA tour. Until you are on the PGA tour, you cannot complete any of these goals. [The description of the achievement clearly states the PGA tour goals. The LPGA has a similar set of 12 goals. These goals appear to require playing fewer events (fewer goals and lower number of wins for some goals) to complete. If anyone gets this achievement by playing the LPGA career, please leave a comment.]
Italic font indicates partially completed goals.
Bold font indicates fully completed goals.

Note: There are many different ways to complete these goals. What follows is meant as one of the shorter methods to completing them all.
For the fastest play through possible, select Career Info, select Tour Settings, set the Rounds Per Event to 1.

One tournament must be played as 4 rounds; pick a course you enjoy or find easy for this goal. {It is unclear what the game's precise definition of a wire-to-wire champion is. Anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that you must play and have the lowest score in each round! No simulating rounds. Some players have indicated that they lead at the end of every round, but they did not receive credit for completing the goal. Win each round to be safe.}
Be a wire-to-wire Champion

First season: play enough tournaments to win 18 (18 of 18 - Be a leader in PGA TOUR wins)
These should include the four majors (The Masters, The US Open, The Open, and The PGA Championship) and The Players Championship (Be a Career Slam Champion.)
The final four tournaments of the season, which comprise the Fed-Ex cup playoff (01 of 02 - Achieve the Most Fed-Ex Cup winsl)
Winning the other nine tournaments needed this season, prior to The Masters, will assure you qualify to play in The Masters. Qualification is based on EA Sports Golf Rankings. All four of the majors require the player to be qualified.
Progress on other goals this season:
Become Rookie of the Year
Be at the top of the charts [You should reach the number one ranking around your ninth win, but this goal will not show as complete until the completion of the tournament after you reach number one (questionable programming here)]
Be a money list leader [This is an end of the season goal and will not show as complete until the next season.]
04 of 18 - Achieve the most major championship wins
18 of 37 - Be in the Top 10

Second season: play the following eight tournaments.
The four majors (Be a Title defender)
The final four tournaments of the season, which comprise the Fed-Ex cup playoff (02 of 02 - Achieve the Most Fed-Ex Cup wins)
Progress on other goals this season:
08 of 18 - Achieve the most major championship wins
26 of 37 - Be in the Top 10

Subsequent years only play the individual majors, which the player still needs to win.
Assuming all previous majors played were won, the season-by-season breakdown is as follows.

Third season: play all four majors.
Progress on other goals this season:
12 of 18 - Achieve the most major championship wins
30 of 37 - Be in the Top 10

Fourth season: play all four majors.
Progress on other goals this season:
16 of 18 - Achieve the most major championship wins
04 of 04 - Achieve the most US Open Championship wins
34 of 37 - Be in the Top 10

Fifth season: play The Masters, The Open (18 Majors career wins goal) and The PGA Championship.
Progress on other goals this season:
18 of 18 - Achieve the most major championship wins
05 of 05 - Achieve the most PGA Championship wins
37 of 37 - Be in the Top 10

Sixth season: play The Masters and The Open.
Progress on other goals this season:
06 of 06 - Achieve the most Masters wins
06 of 06 - Achieve the most Open Championship wins

Even in years where only three majors are played and won, the player will be near the top of the money list, the EA Sports Golf Rankings, and, the Fed-Ex cup standings (prior to the playoffs, of course.)

Yes, it is long, but I hope it helps!

I know, but I figured it'd be worth a shot, right? Especially if I needed to grind my ladies' player up to Level 50.

No idea, but make a backup and just skip to the end of as many years as you are willing to test.

Nothin doin, by the way, on the Ladies' Tour. I tried this (as I did with King of the Hill) while grinding towards Level 50 (as a result of having a >Level 50 imported golfer from TW13).

Met all the goals. Nothin. Grind it out on the men's circuit.

Note: these are the goals for a male golfer, female golfers have a slightly different set of goals.
You will be given the PGA Tour goals once you've turned professional (Unlocking the "Never leave home without it" achievement).

There are 14 goals in total with requirements broken down below:
Be a wire to wire champion - This requires you to play and be in the lead for all four rounds of same tournament. If you have tournaments set to 1 round as advised in the road map change this setting for 1 tournament through the Career Info/Tour Settings menu. You can change it back once this goal is met.
Become rookie of the year - This will unlock at the end of your first season if you've been winning most the tournaments, which you should be aiming to do!
Be in the top 10 - You need to complete 37 tournaments and finish in the top 10. You can get this eventually by playing the whole first season and then only playing major tournaments in subsequent seasons for those career goals.
Be a title defender - Win the same tournament 2 seasons in a row. This will come naturally if you're completing the other goals in this list.
Be a money list leader - This will come naturally at the end of the first season if you win or place highly in all tournaments you enter.
Be at the top of the charts - This will come naturally at the end of the first season if you win all tournaments you enter.
Be a career slam champion - Win all 5 majors in your career - this will also come naturally at the end of the first season once all majors (The Masters/UK Open/US Open/PGA Championship/Players Championship) have been won.
Be a leader in PGA tour wins - You need to compete in and win 18 tournaments in one season - i'd advise doing this in your first season.
Achieve the most FedEx cup wins - The FedEx cup is based on points scored over the season and will be awarded at the end of each season. This will unlock naturally at the end of the second season at the earliest.
Achieve the most Masters wins - You need to have won the Masters tournament 6 times, so this can only be unlocked from the 6th season or more.
Achieve the most US Championship wins - You need to win the US Open 4 times, so this can only be unlocked from the 4th season or more.
Achieve the most Open Championship wins - You need to win the UK Open 6 times, so this can only be unlocked from the 6th season or more.
Achieve the most PGA Championship wins - You need to win the Players Championship 5 times, so this can only be unlocked from the 5th season or more.
Achieve the most major championship wins - You need to have won 18 major championships, and you'll need to have won 21 to complete the other goals so this will come naturally.

On your career main menu, when looking at your player card to the left, you can hit to view your career goals. These goals consist of things, such as attaining the most Master's wins or winning the FedEx cup twice. Other simple ones include leading a certain amount of times in events and so on and so forth. This trophy is fairly straight forward, and it may sound like it will take a while, but after your first career mode season, you should be able to sim up to the major championships without fail, and continue to rack of the wins towards the goals.
