How to unlock the Shouting at Amen Corner achievement in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 - Definitive Guide
#11: A relatively straightforward par 4. Approach shot is downhill, so grab a club less than you normally would, wind permitting. Relatively flat green.
#12: This is a pain to birdie. A small green that sets itself up for a cut shot (fade) that works left to right, or a draw if you're a leftie, and slopes towards the water (Rae's Creek). The wind swirls on this hole (as it does in real life), usually in a counterclockwise fashion, so set yourself up distance-wise for a shot into a specific wind direction, and then start your swing when the wind is 90 degrees away from the direction that you've planned on hitting with. Any shot on the green is a good one, but I would suggest overclubbing and hitting into the wind so that the ball falls down on the pin and doesn't release much upon landing.
#13: As a par 5, it's the easiest birdie opportunity. Just make sure your drive is safely on the fairway, as even a 3 wood can round the corner and give you a line-of-sight approach on the green. As for the approach, it's a sidehill lie with the ball well above your feet (below for lefties), so aim further right than you normally would, wind permitting. Make sure you have enough club to carry the water (still Rae's Creek), and don't worry about whether or not you're on the green TOO much, as even if you're in a bunker or the rough, it still leaves a short chip or pitch and then a putt for birdie. As for the green, it too slopes towards the water (left to right, from the fairway), so try for a leave below the hole to simplify your eagle or birdie putt.
The easiest way to get this obviously is to play this in a practice round from the red tees on Amateur, because then you can enable spin to hone your proximity to the hole AND hit a shorter club into each green, but it's still not incredibly difficult to obtain in Career or Quick Tournaments (where spin is also disabled).
EDIT: The achievement will pop when your birdie (or eagle) putt drops on #13.
This is easiest done in a practice round as it is the only game mode you can use spin in when playing Augusta. That said you will need to play this course at least 14 times for other achievements so you will have plenty of opportunities. This will unlock mid-round so you don't need to finish the round.
In order to get this achievement you will need to get lucky with the wind on the par 3 12th, which usually has a swirling circular wind that is there even if the wind set to calm. Practice makes perfect for this one.
Select Augusta National in practice round. Unlike other trophies, you cannot just skip to these three holes; you must play up to these holes. Pick any golfer, and set the gameplay setting to the easiest difficulty. Make your way through the course and finish hole 10. From here, you can risk it and hope you get 3 straight birdies at the risk that if you don’t you have to restart or you could use another method. The quit and save feature is your best friend for this trophy. Save and exit after each birdie you get, just in case you screw up. If you do screw up and you quit and saved the game along the way you can press the PS button, quit and reload the game. Continue this process until you successfully birdie all three holes in the same round and get your trophy.
