Spot on. That last point was a little tricky to put my finger on because of the mention of the snow. I was looking at the leaves near the snow door and was getting very confused. I didn't remember that there were 2 more leaves even further down and right from those which were the ones you were talking about. All sorted now, nice work.

Not trying to steal the thunder of the other solution, but for those of you who like videos, check out my Full Playthrough below starting at 1:15:58. Starting at the boat campsite, we go through and get all 9 rock piles within a few minutes. It will allow you to see the tricky jump for the last pile before you attempt it yourself.
You can do this at any time, before or after you finish the game. The stacked stones are only located on the Main and Eastern Islands, so if you don't have the bridge leading to the Western Island, you can still get this.
There are 9 stacked stones that you'll need to run up to and knock over. 8 are located on the Main Island and 1 is on the Eastern Island. You'll have plenty of time to get these done in one in-game day, so don't worry too much about having your time constrained. The locations of the stones are as follows (there is also a video guide at the bottom should you prefer to use those):
Stacked Stones #1
Stacked Stones #2
Stacked Stones #3
Stacked Stones #4
Stacked Stones #5-7
Stacked Stones #8
Stacked Stones #9

Stacked Stones #1
- At the very top of the Northern Mountain on the Main Island, it's just down the hill from the cauldron and frozen flowers.
Stacked Stones #2
- While still on the Northern Mountain, jump down on the west side to get to the large Buddha-like frog statue. The stones are just next to the statue.
Stacked Stones #3
- From the Frog Statue, follow the lower east as if you were exiting off the Mountain (without jumping) and about halfway down will be a small section with the stones on the edge.
Stacked Stones #4
- Make your way to the bottom of the Mountain where the snow meets the grass/dirt (there will be two leaves here as well). From here, go directly South until you reach the cliffside, where there will be two more leaves. Just next to the leaves is a narrow, very short dirt path between two large rocks. If you stand on the edge here and look over, you can see a hidden Mountain. Use a leaf to float over to the Mountain and the stones will be just to your right.
Stacked Stones #5-7
- At the Fisherman's house, there are 3 stacked stones in his yard.
Stacked Stones #8
- From where the Lumberjack builds your house (if it's not built, it's the stone flooring just South of the farm), go directly North until you pass through some bushes. Just after these will be the stones. This is immediately South of the crossroads with the signs pointing to the farm and town square (the bell).
Stacked Stones #9
- On the Eastern Island, make your way up to the Southeast corner of the island (stick to the high road when going South). The stones will be at the very end of the path.
