How to unlock the Complete 2001 achievement in Time Pilot - Definitive Guide
I always get too nervous when I get to the end but I have some tips to increase your chances of victory:
1) Go to settings and set lives at start to 5 to get a feel for the last level however acheivements won't unlock unless you have the settings on default.
2) Practice the first few levels at harder difficulties in anticipation
3) Set Graphics to original as there is less of a distraction.
4) Don't worry if you die as it only takes a few minutes to get there again.
Good Luck!

I agree - "enhanced" graphics make it harder to see enemy bullets, rockets etc.

For this achievement, you need to complete the fifth stage. This stage has you against UFO aircraft that shoot balls of light and fire swirly missile-like projectiles. There is a meter along the bottom of the screen to track your progress on how many enemies you’ve killed, which reduces as you shoot them down. Once you’ve killed 56 enemy UFO’s, a big UFO Mothership will appear. Destroy it (it takes 7 hits) to unlock this achievement. Upon completion, you will warp back to 1910.
You can lose lives and still obtain this achievement as long as you complete the stage.
