How to unlock the Perfection achievement in Time Pilot - Definitive Guide
Firstly, keep the original graphics. Yes, the clouds obscure shots and enemies occasionally, but the enhanced graphics introduce all sorts of distracting shrapnel, AND reduce the size of the enemy sprites.
I found that wearing headphones to keep me 'in the zone' helped with concentration, though it hardly seems essential.
Get in the habit of shooting in a constant arc. Like Geometry wars, just waggle the left stick in gentle quarter circles whilst shooting CONSTANTLY. You'd be surprised how often what looks like certain death will turn out OK as your bullet stream cuts through a gaggle of biplanes.
When you get good enough to reach stage 4 consistently, break out of the habit of restarting immediately on death. It's worth finishing out the stage for practice against the enemies' ungodly speed.

Stage 1: Just spin wildly. Focus on the area around your ship to avoid the arcing bombs and bullets, but you should be fine.
Stage 2: In my opinion much harder than the helicopter stage. Try to keep heading in a single direction (I always went with SW out of habit after watching Buga's video) and ignore the giant ships as they don't contribute to your level total, and take more shots than you realise.
Stage 3: Keep heading SW, traversing in a lazy circle around homing missiles if they get to close to your tail. Once you get the hang of shaking them, the level is plain sailing.
Stage 4. HELL. Here all craft travel at the same speed as you. Despite guide's suggesting that you continue to travel largely in the same direction, I found the only way to progress was to take the fight to them as per stage one. Like the helicopter stage, homing missiles should be dealt with by spinning gently around them, however you must be extra wary of all other ships when performing your aerobatics.

Don't give up! Everyone has skill and concentration ceilings. If you reach a point when you keep dying on stage one, call it a day.
The first is you'll have a large number of ships around you, preventing you from turning in certain directions, making it more likely for you to die. The second is that you'll prevent ships from spawning in front of you since there's a limit to the number of ships that can be on screen, meaning you'll spend a lot longer on the level, making it more likely for you to die.
Instead, you need to take the ships head-on. Be courageous. It might be scary the first couple times, but you can turn into a ship head-on, get super duper close to a ship -- pixels away from death -- and then shoot it out of the sky. Stages 1 and 2 are great for practicing this. Once you're able to do this, you'll find yourself completing the levels much, much quicker, and you'll also find yourself having an easier time since you only have to deal with a couple ships on screen at one time. Good luck. This isn't easy, but anyone can do it with enough practice.
PS: for me on the last lvl my heart was literaly pounding like never before the suspence was intence!! when I got it I almot got a stroke. I was glad :)

For this achievement, you need to reach 2001 (complete the fourth stage, 1982) without losing a life. With each stage, the difficulty increases, so this one will take some practice and a little bit of luck. Luckily, to get to this stage can take as little as 5 minutes, so while it might not take long, it can definitely be intimidating, frustrating and overwhelming.
The concept is simple; as you play each stage, just shoot everything and avoid the projectiles and other aircraft until the “boss” appears. Destroy it to continue on to the next stage, all without losing a life. Repeat this three more times. Please refer to the video below for more tips. Good luck!
