How to unlock the Reach 1970 achievement in Time Pilot - Definitive Guide

For this achievement, you need to complete the second stage. This stage has you against single seat planes that shoot bullets and fire rockets. There is a meter along the bottom of the screen to track your progress on how many enemies you’ve killed, which reduces as you shoot them down. Once you’ve killed 56 enemy planes, a B-25 Bomber plane will appear. Destroy it (it takes 7 hits) to unlock this achievement.
You can lose lives and still obtain this achievement as long as you complete the stage.

1970 is the third level of the game. Shoot down enough opponents in 1940 (the second level) to call out the large "boss" at the end of it and then destroy it to progress to 1970 and unlock the Achievement.
