How to unlock the Face Melter achievement in Titanfall 2 - Definitive Guide

Ok, so go to mission select, mission 7 (TRIAL BY FIRE), select EASY and right after you've landed, change your titan to ION cause he's the only titan that has the laser core. And also, if you try to build your core with a different titan and thinking that after it's 100% charged up, then you're gonna switch to ION, then you're making a mistake cause the core status will reset. So switch to ION, do some kills and when you're prompted on screen that your core ability is charged up, press cn_down and aim at any titan on the field.

load up mission 9 and when you control BT switch to the ION class. Get your special up and once its ready to use find the 1st titan titan you see damage him alittle then press down on the d-pad and let him have it. Once you destroy him the achievement will pop.

Titan Loadout: Ion

This trophy requires you to destroy a Titan (standard Titans or Boss Titans) with your Laser Core Ability, which can only be done with the Ion Loadout. Ion Loadout is the fifth loadout for BT-7274. You can change Titan Loadouts by pressing the button while inside your Titan. See Jack of All Trades for more information about Titan Loadouts.

In order to unlock the trophy, reach 100% Titan Core while using the Ion. Save it for an enemy Titan who has low health and then press the button to activate Laser Core which will fire an oversize laser chest cannon.
