How to unlock the All The Cards achievement in Titanfall - Definitive Guide

All The Cards

External image

To obtain this achievement you must obtain 500 burn cards.

What is a burn card? A burn card is something you activate during a game and will give you a slight advantage in your game until you die. Instead of just naming the things off you can take a look for yourself of every burncard possible to earn(From the Titanfall Wiki):

http://titanfall.gamepedia.com/Burn_Cards

You can hold max burn cards based on your pilot generation, once you get full the game will automatically discard them, if you want to make room for more hold LT and RT at the same time and that will manually discard them. If you have 3 in the ready to use slots. Below is the max you can hold for every generation.

Generation / Burn Card Limit
Generation 1 / 46
Generation 2 / 52
Generation 3 / 58
Generation 4 / 64
Generation 5 / 70
Generation 6 / 76
Generation 7 / 82
Generation 8 / 88
Generation 9 / 94
Generation 10 / 100

Now when it comes to earning them:

-1 Card for every victory

-7 cards at level 25 (For every pilot generation)

-6 cards at level 30 (For every pilot generation)

-7 cards at level 40 (For every pilot generation)

-7 cards at level 45 (For every pilot generation)

-6 cards at level 50 (For every pilot generation)

-All the rest are for challenges, (MVP, Rounds played, dropping in your titan, and kills for every weapon you use, including grenades, Satchels, and Arc mines, killing enemy titans, killing spectres, and killing grunts Ect.)

Basically the better you do in every game and kill as many things as you can, the more Burn cards you will gain.

The image is a nice addition to make your solution more attractive, but could you resize that image a bit? It has nearly 6 MB!

But cheers for the guide. toast

XBU: The site re-sized it, it was much bigger than that to begin with. Do you want me to re-size it so you could save it on your computer?

This may sound like a stupid question but does this accumulate over multiple Generations or does the number reset when all your challenges and weapons reset?

Just got to the ability to use three cards, but they never disappear after the match.

From the discription I assumed they are a one time offer for one game, but I probably didn't understand that correctly.

I now have loads of burncards for the standard AR I'm using. When done with all the challenges for this weapon; should I throw out all cards for this weapon as I'll switch it for a new weapon I want all challenges for?

If you want to use a different weapon I would recommend not using the cards because they will just give you the weapon they say. Not the weapon you want to use.

Why does it appear that I can hold 46 burn cards? Was the 25 limit lifted in an update?

you do not have to use or sell or throw them away.. i had 69/46 cards and the achievement counter kept going up so you dont even have to pay attention to them if you dont want to.. just earn and they count :)

Are you and have you been always getting rid of your cards? If not thats the reason, make sure you always have room to get new cards.

This one is pretty straight forward. You can't get burn cards until you are level 7. You can use up to three at a time when you hit level 11. Now you can only hold so many burn cards at a time (25) so make sure you use them! IF you don't want to bother with them/ think they are worthless Just press LT + RT to discard it and get your deck emptier to allow more cards to be collected.

There are many ways to collect cards. You get them based on what weapons you use(Primaries and Titan fighting ordinance), what you kill(Pilots, Titans, Specters), whether you win can also give you really good cards too, so there are really a large number of ways to get cards. You don't necessarily have to be dominating the other team or anything like that, but it helps if you can.

Alrighty guys, I just earned this achievement this morning! You need to earn a total of 500 burn cards in order to earn this.

It took a lot of time, (about 22 hours in- match time) to complete it. But here are a couple hints to help you along your path to 500 Burn Cards.

- First and foremost, USE you cards as you earn them. You deck can hold a max of 26 cards at any given time. That is including the 3 you can have equipped. You never know just many burn cards you are going to unlock in any given match, but if you end up earning more cards than you have space for in your deck, you will not be awarded them and they will not add to this score.

- Go for challenges! There are a lot of challenges with rewards linked to burn cards. The more you complete, the more burn cards you'll find, and in the case of weapons challenges, they'll likely be an amped version of said gun which you'll like even more.

- Kill lots of minions, specters, and obviously pilots and titans. There are several types of cards you earn solely based on killing a set number of a specific enemy, or other actions such as melee attacks and headshots.

- Finally, certainly accomplishments will also net you with a sizable "Rare Card Pack" which gives you 6 or so very powerful cards. You earn this from things like reaching Lvl 50, advancing a generation, and from completing/ winning a certain number of game rounds.

So be patient, clear out and use cards as they come, and you'll have this pretty quickly.

Happy Hunting!

Do any require specific actions or is it a case of just playing until you unlock them all?

Good solution! I'm not really a fan of people writing achievement solutions until they actually have the achievement, but this clears things up. I hope once you've earned the achievement yourself you can provide a little more explanation.

Well I understand the premise of the burn cards since I've played the since the Alpha. You can track how many you have gotten by going to your achievements but not in game as far as I can tell. Just make sure to keep the deck somewhat empty otherwise you can't get new ones to go towards the achievement.

You should pop this achievement as you pursue the "All the Hardware" achievement. The weapons challenges will grant you "Amped *gun here*" Cards for each level of the challenge you complete. Also, since many of the challenges call for Spectre or Grunt kills, those challenges will also grant you burn cards. If you set up your Pilot/Titan classes to cover several different weapons combinations, you can potentially earn a small fortune of cards every round (I think my best is 14).

Anyways, just keep chipping away at this one. Keep in mind, that if/when you regenerate, your burn cards are saved, whereas the challenges are reset (this is especially helpful if you're having trouble with certain weapons).

This is a general solution for people having issues with the FROZEN PROGRESS BAR in achievements.

If you've had your progress bar for a particular achievement stuck in, say, 85% and not moving, here's what I've found out.
It is very likely that one day you started the game and started unlocking random achievements, 5 or 6 at a time. This happened to me twice, and I noticed that all achievements with progress 50% and up unlocked, and those with less than 50% went up to 75-95%.
Let's make an example for illustration purposes. We'll be using the 100 Daily Challenges achievement. Let's say that after this issue, you ended up with 85% Daily Challenges completed, when you originally had only 40%. Most people will just do 15 more and expect the achievement to unlock, but it won't. That's why many people think this is a glitch.
Even though for progress says 85%, you are still in 40%, so you will need to do 60 more to unlock the achievement, not 15.
Once your real progress catches up with your percentage, in this case 85%, you will see the bar move up to 86, 87, 88%, etc.
So this is not really an achievement glitch. Your progress bar is just showing a wrong %.
So whenever you see the progress bar stuck, just keep working on that particular achievement and you will see that eventually, when you catch up with the progression%, it will start moving as it normally would and unlock when you reach 100%.
Hope this helps clarify the confusion that dwells regarding this issue.

Don't waste time grinding money trying to boost this one, especially if you're going to go for the Generation 10 Pilot Achievement. Everytime you regen you reset ALL your challenges, and each of the weapons will have very easy challenges attached to them which will then unlock burn cards for you to use.

Basically, don't be in a rush to get this one, if you're going for all 10 regens then you'll get this one over time. I just hit Gen 3 and I'm almost finished with this Achievement.

And don't forget Frontier Defense is an easy way to grind most of the weapon kill challenges for easy XP and more burn cards.

Here is a list of burn cards from the official Titanfall wiki. It should be pretty evident by the descriptions of what the cards are that you've never had as to how to get them. If you've never gotten the Spare Stryder card, you probably need to start using that Titan.

Burn cards allow you to modify some element of combat, such as bringing in a Titan immediately at the start of a match, be cloaked 100% of the time, use a more powerful version of a weapon, or earn XP faster. They are awarded for completing some challenges, for winning matches, and for advancing from one generation to the next. Initially you can only hold 30 cards, but as you advance in generations this increases to a maximum of 100 for Gen 10 players. If you earn a card and do not have room for it, you will still earn the card unless it is for a kill related challenge, but will need to delete some to get back down to the maximum. Your best approach is to have 10 open slots at any given time to ensure you do not miss any awarded Burn Cards.

You will earn this several times over as you advance through the game, so there is no need to focus on it.

You can track your progress in the achievement app where each 1% progress represents five cards.

As the game progresses, cards with different properties will be given for different actions. You can easily accumulate them over time. They can be used in combat after death and last for one life after being revived.

Don't forget to spend the cards you've already received, because... very quickly you will fill up your entire inventory and will not be able to receive new ones until the old ones are spent.
