How to unlock the Best in Class achievement in Titanfall - Definitive Guide
You must be on top of your team with the most amount of points.
What I recommend doing immediately to get this achievement, while in the campaign if you play Domination where you have to capture points, just sit at a point and defend it, if you die, find another point to hold, you get amazing points for killing enemies, and 75 points every little once and a while for holding the point. I sat guarding multiple spots for an entire map and was over 2000 in defense points, easily #1 on the team.
Good luck and have fun!
Note for the new update(3/24/14): Last night I played a few games and this method no long works to get MVP. I am Extremely sad and Extremely mad as I felt it was an amazing method for MVP's and EXP. So now I must come up with a new method. If anyone finds one or figures it out just message me or comment, otherwise I am going to try new things in game modes to find the best way possible to get MVP's. I can promise you I will try my best and update this solution best as possible because I loved this solution and cannot let it go, I must help the community to getting this achievement, or MVP's for the Pilot Generation requirement (50 MVP's in a generation) I still have to do that.
BEST METHOD SO FAR IN HARDPOINT DOMINATION (For the new update):
After playing new matches in this game-mode the way to get MVP is no longer defending objectives, the best way now is to capture enemy objectives to the best of your ability. When you come to an enemy objective and its a room, make sure to flush the room out by throwing grenades into it, if its an open ground objective instead of a building, I recommend using your titan, unless you absolutely don't like using Titans.
Note: If your team owns all the points, make sure to just guard an objective, that is the best you can do, get those 25 points ()
I will continue to look for a easier way to get MVP's.
In a Domination map, find the hardpoint closest to your spawn point. Typically one will be closer to where your team spawns, one will be closer to theirs, and one will be sort of in the middle. In my experience, the midpoint one gets attacked a ton but the ones closest to each teams spawn points tend to get large breaks of safety between assaults. Now, when your Titan is available, drop it but DO NOT GET IN. Set it on follow mode and have it walk up near the hardpoint you're defending, and find yourself a hiding spot. When guys go to assault your hardpoint, not only will they be drawn to the Titan instead of killing you before you can see them coming, but you'll hear your coordinator tell you "Auto Titan engaging (type of unit)" you can then use your Titan to see which way it's shooting and gain a tactical advantage to help it take out the opponent.
This way you'll gain point automatically from defending the hardpoint but won't be very easy to take out as a lot of times they'll be too busy fighting the Titan to see you until it's too late.
Using this method I got the achievement on only my 3rd or 4th match, and I'm a complete shooter noob, so that's saying a lot.
To earn this, you need to be at the top of the end-game leaderboard for points upon the match's completion. Keep in mind that you don't need to be the overall MVP, but just the highest on YOUR team.
Although, like I've said, that this is mainly self-explanatory, I will offer a couple tips you may find useful.
- The higher your level in comparison to your teammates and the opposing team, the better odds you will have for coming out on top. Having better weapons and more map/ game knowledge is an obvious plus.
- That being said, I would attempt this as soon as possible, primarily because as more time goes by, the higher the average levels of other players will be, and the lower your advantage.
- Lastly, be sure to play whatever game type you like the most/ play the best at. If you like to run-and-gun, Attrition is probably your game type, and if you prefer strategy and finesse, your odds may be better in Hardpoint or Capture the Flag.
Don't stress if you're having trouble taking that top spot, because if you keep at it, this will certainly happen sooner or later. I was lucky enough to achieve it after just two matches, and I'm only a bit above-average player. Right after the leaderboard appears with you on top, the achievement will pop.
Happy Hunting!

To unlock this, you need to complete the MVP level one challenge once. This requires three or more people in the game when the match ends, and you need to be the top player on your team from a points perspective. In case you don't earn it before Gen 9, you will need to do so fifty times to move up to Gen 10.
Boosting Approach:
This can be easily boosted, but does require three players/boxes. Start a Last Titan Standing match and have one team press and then press three times. This will cause them to eject and end the round. LTS is a minimum of four rounds, so with loading screens you can boost through one game in about 4-5 minutes.
Non-Boosting Approach:
Frontier Defense is a great place to get this. You work as part of a team of up to four players and defend a fixed point (called a Harvester) from waves of AI. You can earn MVP even if you lose as long as you are the top scoring player. In later generations you will start unlocking Burn Cards that let you immediately call in a Titan. Save all of those for Frontier Defense when you want to be MVP, and set up your Titans to use the Triple Threat weapon since it is highly effective against grunts, spectres, and enemy Titans. Call in a Titan as soon as the game starts and focus on clearing out most of the grunts and spectres. Remember to place your turrets at the beginning of rounds 2-5, and stick them up high and slightly away from the Harvester so they don't get killed as quickly.
