Thanks Hunter, it could be many of reasons... So far this game is annoying to get up-votes everyone just wants to down-vote

This really isn't boosting, this is grinding, there is a huge difference. Its not cheating so I don't know why you are on true achievements if you think boosting is cheating.

I don't know why you got negatives, this is much more helpful than that giant wall of poorly written text in the first solution. That guy shouldn't be making solutions if he can't type.

I don't know either Moto, I have never gotten so many negative votes on solutions, I guess its because this game is all online, and my solutions don't get them the achievement instantly....

I don't see how this is at all boosting... you're doing what it's asking while playing the game. It's not like you're suggesting a bunch of people to join a boosting session and all wall running in synch to a musical number. People just like to hate, I guess. +1 from me. Thanks bud.

Thanks Wylie MD, this achievement cannot really be boosted, It can only be grinded, being in a boosting match where no one will kill you is just a good way to do it, that's why I suggest it.

The Outcast - you are a total clown. Why not go find something constructive to do with your life instead of bitching on an achievements-based website?

And seriously, if you have a problem with boosting, why not actually whine about it on a solution that is about BOOSTING?!

I really do despair.

Haven't got the cheev yet but I intend to look for these spots and use your advice of the natural course of playing the game. You definitely get a +1 from me and a thanks in advance. I also don't really understand Outcast - he should take out the word boosting and look at it: This site is for people who want to increase their gamerscore in a legitimate fashion - and is a means to help like minded individuals do the same. This solution does just that. Keep them coming buddy - the overwhelming majority here appreciate it!

Le Lone Wolf points out good places to use the wall run, he points out good load outs to use. He alleviates the worry of losing your wall running stats when choosing to Regen. These are legitimate tools and sound advice to help get this achievement. Trust me Outcast2, arguing with you - I don't have to try to sound clever. It just happens.

just for the heck of it; I tried wallrunning in the pilot training and that basically didnt work (may have just been because walls were "too short" to see if it even moved the progress bar up at all.) also tried private match, but unlike tf 2 (where you can play a private match against all computer ai enemies;) you have to have at least two players to start a private match in tf1

They've added the tracker for this achievement now, progress goes up after match, in case anyone wanted to know. Also, private matches won't count towards progress.

@The Outcast2 this website is to help you get achievements, and THE BEST WAY TO GET ACHIEVEMENTS IS BOOSTING so why the fuck would I not put the best way in my solutions? Thats why your being called stupid.

It's so much of a side-note that they implicated boost sessions and spent the time to create a feedback system. I don't understand what your problem is. This page is obviously going to show easier ways to obtain the achievement and that's why you're looking. It's not even like you're unsure how to obtain it. Unless you're an absolute retard, "Wallrun 5 Kilometres" doesn't get more obvious. If you want to start flaming this guy because he's posting tips to help people, you're going to be flaming 80% of this website.

Great solution Wolf, don't worry about the negative votes as most of those folks just troll and vote negative no matter what. You get +1 from me. I never thought about using training ground as a place to practice wall running. I'm not too good at it at the moment, but getting better. I was looking for how to wall hang and glad you mentioned it was by holding the LT. Keep the solutions coming.

the best map to do this would be Rise.

I found a staircase in one corner of the map, and from the top you can get from one side of the map to the next all by wallrunning between the high walls.
Nobody will ever shoot you up there and you will have this achievement in no time.
you can propably get 1 kilometer or more per campaign round

not my video, but you get the idea :)

Just to add to Le Lone Wolf's solution...

You can almost constantly wallrun on the upper levels of the map "Rise" and anytime you fall down there are quite a few convenient ziplines to drag you back up. (Also a very good way of transporting the flag in CTF)

You need to run a cumulative distance of 5 Kilometers on walls to get this achievement. Doing a Regen does not affect this.

The achievement unlocks at the end of a match.

To check your progress, go into the achievement app. Click on the achievement. It will show you 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, or 80%.

Multiply 5 by the decimal version of the percentage, then subtract the answer from 5 to get your required kilometers left
If it says 40%, I will do the following:

Total of 5 kilometers. You have made 40% of the progress towards the achievement.
5 x 0.4
= 2
40% of 5 is 2. You have run 2 kilometers

5 - 2
= 3
You need to run 3 more kilometers to get the achievement

Then, if you are also paying attention to the Ninja Warrior Challenge (to get to it, go to Challenges > Distance > Ninja Warrior) you can see it in smaller increments. Like 2.5, 3.84, etc... This will reset when you Regen though, but you can write it down to keep track, as the achievement app only shows progress in 1 kilometer increments.

Equipping yourself with the Tactical Ability: STIM, is helpful because it boosts movement speed and health for a short time and allows you to cover a greater distance in the same amount of time.

Also, using the Tier 1 kit: Enhanced Parkour Kit allows wallrunning and wallhanging for increased periods of time.

Try to wallrun as much as you can, because it also allows you to move faster. This is particularly useful in boosting sessions where you need to meet your partner for kill trading. Also, during the quit out method for boosting wins, if 2 people are going for MVP, and you are on the winning team, you can take the time to wallrun so that you will not time out, and gain progress towards this achievement.

I personally like to run around on Training Ground for this during boosting sessions, but I really do not feel the need to boost this achievement.

I have included a video of me wallrunning. I did it in training, and I was messing around with inverted controls and I was trying to wallhang as well (Hold LT while wallrunning and you will hang on the wall forever until you let go for LT). As you see... inverted controls are the worst thing ever... Especially on the first 10 minutes of you playing this game and playing on the Xbox One.

According to Le Lone Wolf, some good spots include:

Smugglers cove (In domination it is right near point A) there is a nice long wall to run back and fourth on!

Also try point B in Corporate. Just wallrun in the circle (well, rectangle) (Thanks ShaMorg!)

According to Resident Jesus, another good spot includes:

You can almost constantly wallrun on the upper levels of the map "Rise" and anytime you fall down there are quite a few convenient ziplines to drag you back up. (Also a very good way of transporting the flag in CTF)

One of the key mechanics of Titanfall is the emphasis on parkour and verticality. Your Pilot is equipped with a jump kit that enables higher, longer and faster jumps than ordinary people, but it can also be used to enable you to run along a vertical surface for a limited time. In practice, this is a great way to move even faster through maps as the jump kit boosts your speed up to hold you on the wall. As such, a good practice is to wall run at every opportunity, and doing so will unlock this achievement quite early in the game.

This metric is tracked both within each single generation for challenge purposes, and across all generations for the point of this achievement. You can track your progress by choosing Personal Stats -> Distance in the game.
