How to unlock the Militia Elite Pilot achievement in Titanfall - Definitive Guide

I created a spreadsheet to help me track which matches I won and to also see what was coming up next so I could plan my Burn Cards accordingly.

The link below is the file on my public OneDrive (previously SkyDrive) account. I won't be removing the file. It lists each campaign match name and type. It has two columns for IMC and Militia. Each match has a 0 in each of the columns. When you win a match, just change the 0 to a 1 and the tally at the bottom will tell you the number of wins you still need. There are 9 matches in the campaign.

http://1drv.ms/1fUNBaR

(You can click File / Save As to download a local copy to your machine)

The 9 matches you need to complete are as follows:
The Refueling Raid - Hardpoint Domination
The Colony - Attrition
The Odyssey - Attrition
Get Barker - Attrition
Assault on the Sentinel - Attrition
Here Be Dragons - Hardpoint Domination
The Three Towers - Attrition
The Battle of Demeter - Hardpoint Domination
Made Men - Hardpoint Domination

You do not need to complete them in one sitting. Doing a Quick Match seems to be best way to get the matches you still need. Doing this will most likely be quicker than trying to join a particular level. It was for me anyway. BlinkFandangoII's solution has information on things to try on that front. I had to do quick matches to get my Militia achievement knocked out after getting the IMC one.

UPDATE:
If you do a quick match and have the rare opportunity to join the match close to the end and get the "Victory" message, that counts even if you didn't play the entire round.

Some people have said this wasn't the case for them. I thought this was the case for me, but it will be good to mark those "joined late" to redo if the achievement doesn't pop for you.

Also, look at the comments to see that some folks had to exit Titanfall and come back in for the achievement to register.

Hope this helps

--Update from Leo Ascendent in Comments:
New update puts a little trophy icon next to the faction you've won the campaign mission on. Might want to update with that info, pretty helpful in finding what you need to do still.

I completed the Militia campaign numerous times and achievement doesnt unlock for me. My progress shows as 100% both on TA and my achievement progress locally on my system. Any help, ideas, or suggestion would be appreciated.

For this achievement you need to WIN each on. Playing each one unlocks the titans, but this cheevo requires wins on each.

I know, I won on each and didn't get achievement. Look at my progress for this achievement on TA it will show as 100 % but it is not unlocked. I'm asking has anybody has this happen to them as well?

Nvm - It popped; I tried the "Quit Out; Relaunch Game" method several times but from most of the comments/threads I've read it can take anywhere from 5 Minutes to 3 Days to unlock; it popped when I got to the lobby around 2 hours after it turned 100% - So if it doesnt work right away just go away from the game for a few hours and try again; It'll eventually pop it seems :)

It's been about a week now and it still hasn't popped for me...I even tried the quit and relaunch method a few times and this site says that I've won 10 out of 9 campaign missions. Not sure what else I'm supposed to do.

You need to win each and every mission. There isn't any sort of in game tracker. You need to track it yourself and you can use the spreadsheet link in this solution to do so. Unfortunately, it is manual as the game doesn't track it.

THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS SIMPLE WITH THE NEW UPDATE - THIS GUIDE WILL WORK FOR BOTH IMC ELITE AND MILITIA ELITE

If you go into the 'Campaign' tab before you start the game you will see nine squares representing each of the levels in the game. Thanks to the new update there are now trophies in each of these levels to show which levels you have won. In order to complete the two achievements you must have two trophies in each square (one for the IMC and one for the Militia)

With the new update the way to find out which levels you've passed has changed. Now you need to:

Main Menu > Personal Stats > Levels.

From this screen there will be two trophy icons showing which side you have completed the mission for. You need to have two trophies in each picture for all of the campaign missions for this to unlock.

Yes, it's more simple to keep track of which levels you've won, but unless I've missed it there still isn't a simple way to pick which side you wish to fight for.

@Maverick: You can't, games are randomized so you just have to keep playing until the one you want pops up.

Can this be done in a private game mode? That way you can select the map you need... Right?

It's been a while since I've played but I believe that all of the games achievements will only unlock in competitive play. Private game modes don't pop anything I'm afraid.

The only way I have found to complete this achievement if you did not get it the first time playing Militia (which honestly depends a lot on your team) is to search for quick match and hope you get on the map you need on the Militia side with a good team, seems entirely luck based. If you do get lucky, stick with the team as long as you keep winning and keep track of your progress. If you lose a round after the first two or three levels, it is much easier to find those maps using quick match, it seems like the first couple of maps are the hard ones to get placed into.

One thing that might help [I have not verified this to see if it works] is to be a high level when playing the campaign, so level up in classic before heading to multiplayer gives you some unlocks and might help you win the Militia campaign the first time around. I was around level 30 and most of the other guys were really low levels. I felt really bad, but I don't see many other options.

Hopefully Respawn will patch this so you can choose which side you play on in the campaign.

Other stuff I tried that DOES NOT WORK:
I tried just about everything to switch sides. I started as IMC, played through as Militia and then it kept sticking me on IMC on the first mission. I played through IMC again, winning every round or restarting until I won the round and finished IMC a second time. After finishing the IMC a second time I started the first level again from the level select and it put me back on IMC. I tried reselecting level 1 from level select MANY, MANY times and it always put me on IMC.

I tried searching for a quick game where it put me on Militia, quitting out and trying the first level again via level select, still IMC. I tried playing through whatever level it put me on for Militia (usually the last three) until the end of the campaign again and then selecting the first level, still IMC.

I too needed only this mission. Finally got it to put me on militia won a match but no achievement unlocked. After numerous tries put me on militia again, I won again and still no Achievement. I'm wondering how can my progress show as 100% and still not Pop, has this happened too anybody else?

Sorry MiserlyPluto459, they used to have an option to do that, but it has since been removed. You can try boosting it, change the country to somewhere in Asia and keep going in and out until you get the right level and team.

I'd just like to point out that (at least on the mission refueling raid) its possible to be placed on Militia when specifically picking the mission, it just takes a lot of tries.
It was the only mission that I needed for the achievement, but could never get it using quick play, so I just stuck to picking the mission over and over hoping to be placed on Militia and it finally worked.

I have played 18 times the final mission. I have only once been put on Militia and we lost. I can not be the militia, it is so frustrating! This also does not count the amount if times I have been IMC and not played the match. Is there any way to select Militia or even the mission?

Note this will work for both achievements
TitanfallIMC Elite PilotThe IMC Elite Pilot achievement in Titanfall worth 57 pointsWin every Campaign level as an IMC pilot

TitanfallMilitia Elite PilotThe Militia Elite Pilot achievement in Titanfall worth 54 pointsWin every Campaign level as a Militia pilot

you will also get these along the way if you play as you do not have to win anything to get them, just play the 9 maps from each team once
TitanfallMilitia PilotThe Militia Pilot achievement in Titanfall worth 77 pointsComplete the Militia campaign

TitanfallIMC PilotThe IMC Pilot achievement in Titanfall worth 77 pointsComplete the IMC campaign

to start all my tacking stuff can be found here:

If you perfer to use pen and paper:
Printable PDF Checklist

If you prefer a digital menthod of tracking you can find the sheet here:
Google sheet

The easiest way is to play the campaign straight though and win every match....good luck with that winkwink

As for the majority of us just start playing and print or write down the list so you can mark off what you got. If you already played some matches then have no fear because one of the updates now allows you to see your progress in a way.
from the main menu go to Personal Stats ==> Levels
you will notice all levels are listed alphabetically by map name which does not show up while playing the actual campaign so I took the time to play though the campaign and line up the map title or "Level" with the Campaign level name that you see on the splash screen while the level is loading. They are easy enough to recognize while you are playing but might not be so easy when you are just looking at the map in the menu. Check out the documents I shared for an easy print at home use. But here is the meat of it.

Campaign Title: Map name or "Level" in the stats page - Game type
1.) The Refueling Raid: Fracture - Hardpoint Domination
2.) The Colony: Colony - Attrition
3.) The Odyssey: Relic - Attrition
4.) Get Barker: Angel City - Attrition
5.) Assault on the Sentinel: Outpost 207 - Attrition
6.) Here Be Dragons: Boneyard - Hardpoint Domination
7.) The Three Towers: Airbase - Attrition
8.) The Battle of Demeter: Demeter - Hardpoint Domination
9.) Made Men: Corporate - Hardpoint Domination

On each level in the stats page you should be able to see campaign trophy icons on the levels that the campaign runs though, As you can see in this shot I already have a Militia win on the level but I still need an IMC win:
3.) The Odyssey: Relic - Attrition
External image

where as I already have both IMC and Militia wins on this level so I do not need to worry about this map as much when it comes up in the rotation
9.) Made Men: Corporate - Hardpoint Domination
External image

Here is a short video of how to navigate the menu to the levels screen and you can see the trophies in the top let corner of the map pictures

If you keep playing and are going for other achievements this will come in time but to speed things up it helps to know which levels you need to focus on. for example in my situation where the last level "corporate" I already had both wins I was able to focus on my different weapon kills like kill 25 sepcters with the SMART pistol. then when you get to a map you need (the last one I needed was an IMC win on Relic so when that opportunity came up I just did the best I could to help get the win... i.e. used my best weapon focused on scoring team points and not the method of the kills, I also noticed if I got the MVP then more often then not my team won so it jsut makes sense the better team player you are (killing grunts/pilots on Attrition and constantly capturing hardpoints on hardpoint) the more likely you are to win the match. It does help to have a group that is constantly communicating... i.e. have at least one person responsible for each hard point and the rest free roam to which ever point needs assistance. I completed it by myself with randoms that did not talk but I'm sure it would have went smoother with a group because you can tell the teams that even have a few people coordinating because some of the matches can get lopsided quickly.

Just in general it is usually more fun if you get with a group of people you know or people that talk and communicate and while it is tempting to work on unlocks and stuff remember you need wins so don't sit and camp out trying to get satchel or sniper kills when you could be capturing hardpoints you will usually only be hurting your team but hopefully you can judge that.

Don't be afraid to use your Burncards!!! when I first started playing I thought I should hold onto the valuable ones for later but soon you will have more than you can hold. maybe save the good ones for the maps you still need wins on but don't hold out if you are going for the win. an extra titan drop or permanent radar pulse can mean the difference between wining and losing some times. that said if you are new and are not good in the titans yet do not drop them all over the place in an Atrrition match because if your titan keeps getting killed you are just offering up free points to the opposing team, if you are not that good then best thing to do is to stay away from the titans and use your minion detector and start hunting those down because +1 is better for you than giving the other team 4 or 5 points for knocking out your titan

For getting those pesky maps as the right faction in Campaign. I know the last one took me several playthroughs to get the right faction.

This method requires two people and to be in a low population server.
First of all both players search for the game mode, in this case campaign and make sure you are both on different teams, you can't invite your partner into the lobby otherwise they will be on your team, but don't worry we will use this to our advantage.

When you are both in the lobby it will take a couple mins to find a game however it should begin the campaign at the beginning if there is no one else playing. If you start on IMC you will more than likely stay on that team the whole way through. To get the win for both you and a friend wait for the desired map to come up and then during the load screen for the game one person highlights their partner's gamertag and chooses "join game". I waited until the map was almost loaded before hitting cn_A to join and as soon as the map loads you will be put into another load screen however for your partners team.

Since you will both be on the same team against no enemies the match will finish in about twenty seconds and you both get credit for the wins.

If there are maps you both already have you can have one person quit out to end the game quickly so the other gets the win and this will also count as a fast method towards your 50 wins as well.

Any questions please leave a comment.

The Campaign playlist consists of nine maps with either Attrition or Hardpoint Domination as the game mode. The maps cycle in a fixed order, and what makes this a campaign instead of just a mixed mode playlist is that there are a few cut scenes thrown in and you sometimes start with an AI Titan on your side. You will play as either IMC or Militia each time you start a map, and you have exactly zero control over which side you are placed on. A consequence of this is that it may take as little as 9 games to unlock this achievement, or over 100.

The playlist order is below:

  • The Refueling Raid (Hardpoint) on Fracture
  • The Colony (Attrition) on Colony
  • The Odyssey (Attrition) on Relic
  • Get Barker (Attrition) on Angel City
  • Assault on the Sentinel (Attrition) on Outpost 207
  • Here Be Dragons (Hardpoint) on Boneyard
  • The Three Towers (Attrition) on Airbase
  • The Battle of Demeter (Hardpoint) on Demeter
  • Made Men (Hardpoint) on Corporate

The tracking for this achievement is found by choosing Personal Stats -> Levels. If you have won a Campaign game on a particular map, there will be a gold trophy indicator in the upper left corner of the map image next to an icon for either the IMC or Militia (or both, if you have won as both sides).

This achievement unlocks after you have played and won on all nine maps as the Militia.

Boosting Method:
Campaign matches can be started with as few as four players, but they are very popular playlists as of April 2016, so if you are going to boost, you will need twelve players to lock random players out of the room. Use one of the Asian servers, form two parties of six, and search until you are placed in a lobby together. At that point, all twelve players will stick together and cycle through all of the maps in order, randomly switching sides.

Non-Boosting Method:
Jump in and play! This is the recommended approach for all of the campaign achievements. Roughly 75% of all the players in the game are in either the Attrition or Campaign playlists, so finding an active lobby is very easy, while boosting is very challenging as there are no servers where those two playlists are inactive. The longer you stay in one lobby with the same group, the more maps you will play on. If you are down to needing only one or two maps, pay attention to the order of the playlist as shown above. If the map you need is 7 games away, try switching to a different server to land at a different spot in the playlist order. Be aware of the game type to give your team better odds of winning. If it is an Attrition game, killing grunts and Spectres contributes to the team score. If you are playing Hardpoint Domination, the only thing that matters is controlling the hardpoints.
