How to unlock the Pull! achievement in Titanfall - Definitive Guide

taken from x360a the pants party

When an enemy titan goes into its "doomed" state, the Pilot can manually, or with a certain loadout automatically eject from the cockpit and fly into the air. When you see this happen, look up and take careful aim to try and kill the Pilot before he lands. The Chaingun and Arc Cannon on the Titan or Carbine with a Pilot will be your best bet for this achievement as the other weapons are much slower to fire.

If you happen to be Rodeo-ing the Titan when its Pilot ejects, you will also be thrown into the air at the exact same speed. Flying side-by-side, it will be easy for you (or him) to get a kill, especially locking on with the Smart Pistol.

Personally for me, i played last titan standing and had the chaingun as my weapon and i went around the map looking for doomed titans, as soon as they were about to eject i aimed up high in the sky and starting firing my chaingun at them. your find about 50% of people cloak and the other 50% dont which means you should have plenty of chances.

I've killed two pilots when we were flying side-by-side, but in my killing statistics I can see 0 for the ejecting pilot kills. ;(

I accidently get an ejecting pilot kill inside a building when I doomed a pilot and punched when they ejected. But, the chain gun is by far the easiest way to get the kills.

Chaingun on the titan makes this easy. I got my last 3 across 2 games yesterday - and that my first time trying with it.

You can see your progress by going to Personal Stats > Kill Records. It will be the "Ejecting Pilots" in the "Kills" section of this page.

So the achievement description is wrong? You need to kill an ejected pilot and not an ejecting pilot?

@KiloOscarZulu You need to kill a Pilot after they have ejected from their Titan but before they land. So technically, yes.

@range_is_good Yeah, that statistic needs to read 10. You will unlock the achievement on the post-match screen.

I know it needs to read 10. I had 9. I got another one (which the game acknowledged by giving me the "Gooser challenge", which is to kill an ejecting pilot), but that stat stayed at 9. I was wondering if this was because my party leader pulled out mid-game or because I moved from Generation 1 to Generation 2. If the former, I'll just try again on my own. If the latter, I'll need to re-enroll in a boosting session.

@range_is_good I believe progress carries over from generation to generation. In your case, you failed to unlock the achievement because you failed to complete the match you obtained your 10th Airborne Kill in.

I still did not get one, but I will try with the chaingun.

I found another wrinkle on this the other day that allows you to get credit for killing an ejecting pilot. If you are shooting at the enemy's evac ship and you happen to deliver the kill shot to it AS IT IS TAKING OFF, you can get credit towards the Gooser achievement. Now, I'm not saying this is any easier to do as you have to get the last shot in as it's departing (window of time is small), but it's something to be mindful of. I guess they consider that to be an ejecting pilot.

I also found a neat trick. Must have the DLC map export.
We were playing last titan standing, and half the opposition went up the top of the map. I climbed out of my titan and activated the 'trap'. I toasted 3 titans and even managed to fry an ejecting pilot.

No matter what I do, I feel like I can't even get one. I've tried everything. And I know for a fact it's user error, I'm just on the struggle bus with this achievement. Is it pretty easy to do by boosting or are there any other ways to do this like in a private match maybe? Sorry if that's dumb to ask, I'm new to TF

Does this hold up across generations? I had 9 kills in Gen 1 and then regenerated to Gen 2, got another kill and it didn't pop. It's either that or the fact that during the match I got the 10th kill in, my party leader disbanded and left the game, which pulled me out of the game too. However, the post-game results page stats still popped up and it said I had completed the Gooser challenge ("kill an ejecting pilot"). However, when I went into Personal Stats to see why the achievement didn't pop, the kill count still said 9.

Chaingun with the extended clip is the best for this one. I have read people claiming the accelerator is better - it is not. You may get more rounds that hit harder, but you lose accuracy BIG TIME. I can not tell you how many times I fired off half a clip of the chaingun at an ejecting pilot only to watch my bullets fly by him. angry

Also, keep your distance - it is easier to aim at an ejecting pilot if you have some space rather than right underneath him.

Lastly, be aware that the aut-eject ability makes pilots go invis upon ejecting. This sucks if you want goosers, BUT a lot of people tend to fire their weapons in mid air, revealing their position. If you see a pilot go invis in the air, wait a second or two - I got 2 pilots myself this way because both guys who ejected were dumb enough to start spitting the sidewinders in mid air. laugh

Currently working my way through this, as I am forced to do it for Gen 6 requirements. I found its pot luck but the Chaingun is by far the easiest to do this. I also found the new Frontiers Edge dlc a good maps for this, but can be done on any map or game mode

Last Titan standing, follow a group of team mates and wait for an enemy to be doomed. Make sure you have reloaded then stand back wait for the eject and zoom in

In addiction to the great solutions provided...

If you have a hard time shooting the ejected pilot here's a tip that worked for me. When you have a enemy doomed titan situation wait for the pilot to eject, if you want try to shoot him down, when he begins his descend deploy the electric smoke. If he tries to land on your titan he will be killed upon arrival. It takes a bit of luck but it's an easy way to get this achievement.

Note: This method works better in a wide open space.

This is a general solution for people having issues with the FROZEN PROGRESS BAR in achievements.

If you've had your progress bar for a particular achievement stuck in, say, 85% and not moving, here's what I've found out.
It is very likely that one day you started the game and started unlocking random achievements, 5 or 6 at a time. This happened to me twice, and I noticed that all achievements with progress 50% and up unlocked, and those with less than 50% went up to 75-95%.
Let's make an example for illustration purposes. We'll be using the 100 Daily Challenges achievement. Let's say that after this issue, you ended up with 85% Daily Challenges completed, when you originally had only 40%. Most people will just do 15 more and expect the achievement to unlock, but it won't. That's why many people think this is a glitch.
Even though your progress says 85%, you are still in 40%, so you will need to do 60 more to unlock the achievement, not 15.
Once your real progress catches up with your percentage, in this case 85%, you will see the bar move up to 86, 87, 88%, etc.
So this is not really an achievement glitch. Your progress bar is just showing a wrong %.
So whenever you see the progress bar stuck, just keep working on that particular achievement and you will see that eventually, when you catch up with the progression%, it will start moving as it normally would and unlock when you reach 100%.
Hope this helps clarify the confusion that dwells regarding this issue.

Hey guys, just pointing out that is most easily done in the game mode marked for death. When targets are in their Titans and eject the marker will follow them up into the air making them easier to kill. I recommend being in a Titan if you can and using the chain gun to kill the ejecting pilots.

The best weapon I've found for this achievement is the Arc Cannon. It has a few distinct advantages over the other weapons:

It never has to reload, so you won't have pilots ejecting while you cannot shoot.
Bullet travel is instantaneous, so you don't need to lead your shots.
Weapon is a one shot kill once you charge up to a tiny bit above 50%. With this you only need to maintain your accuracy for a second to get the kill.
The weapon hitbox is as generous (if not slightly more) than the reticule, meaning it's very easy to hit with.

Shoot at someone until they're about to eject, then start charging and look up. Simply let go of the trigger once they're in range and you get a free kill.

Don't forget to back up if they have nuclear ejection.

I've added a video for visual help, though the pilot went cloaked during the video.

Essentially it's like skeet shooting. When people eject they will fly really high in the air. Most of the time when they do this, they will most likely use the cloak ability. I've done this a couple times. I've found the Snipers to be the easiest weapon to do it for it's accuracy/ semi-auto abilities. Apparently the last Primary(KRABER-AP SNIPER) is one shot kill anywhere on pilots, but it is said to have pretty crappy accuracy. Anyways, if you really want to go for this, I suggest you stay out of your Titan and piggyback on Teammates until you find the right moment. when you do, jump off and watch them fly and take your time shooting them down. As far as I know, there is no way to boost this with friends unless you can fill up a whole entire lobby (12).

Hi everyone, my friend Jonker and I, to whom I thank you for your help in boosting this game, we discovered a way to quickly obtain this achievement by the following method.

1.- It is necessary at least two players
2.- the character to obtain the challenge must equip the nuclear explosion in the titan
3.- The configuration of the second titan must be without nuclear explosion. Out of this can have any perk or weapon equipped since it will not be necessary.
4.- the two players must obtain their titans of preference at the same time, first it usually takes about three minutes.
5.- the titan without the nuclear charge will be ejected first for a few moments after doing the titan whit nuclar expltion this must be fast since, even if it is a little longer, the kill will not count because the enemy pilot will already be in the ground.

so I leave a small video of how to perform this method. I hope to be helpful.

Sorry, this Game Clip has been removed

Greetings.

After a Titan is doomed, the pilot has a chance to eject and as their Titan dies, hopefully land and continue to fight on foot. Your goal for this achievement is to kill them before they land. While it is possible to do so on foot yourself, it is much much easier in a Titan.

Note that in order to move up from Gen 5 to Gen 6, you will need to do this five times, so there is no need to deliberately work on it until that point.

Boosting method:
Start up a 1x1 game in any mode except Last Titan Standing and have both players bring in a Titan. The easiest guns to do this with are Arc Cannon and Chaingun, but it is possible to do with any of the Titan weapons. With proper timing you can even kill an ejecting pilot using the Triple Threat, but that is more luck than skill. Stick with one of the two guns above, or use the Plasma Railgun if you also want to unlock "Pull Harder!". Have the Titans facing each other about 4 body lengths apart and the profile working on this achievement should reload if necessary and aim up at about a 60-70 degree angle. The profile that is going to (hopefully!) die should eject by pushing and then three times. At this point, it is merely necessary to hit the pilot before they hit the ground. With the Arc Cannon and Rail Gun, one hit is a kill. With the Chaingun, it may take two or three shells.

Non-Boosting method:
Join a Campaign or Attrition game for the most opponents. Ideally, you will want to be in a full room with 12 players. Ensure you have a Titan setup with your gun of choice as mentioned in the Boosting method, and then lurk... Lots of Titans die as a rule, and most of the pilots successfully eject. Try to stick near other friendly Titans and help them out, but as soon as an enemy Titan is doomed, back off and aim up, even if you are getting shot at.

So, there are several options for achieving this achievement:

1-Ride a titan and take off with the enemy and kill

2-When your titan explodes, when the enemy ejects (accidentally did this)

3-One Titan gun video

4-Another Titan gun video

5-Well, from any weapon when you play as a pilot

PS Pay attention to the distance from the titan depending on the weapon! Achik is not very difficult, you need skill and everything will work out.
