How to unlock the Get your first coin achievement in TMNT - Definitive Guide

While the achievement says "Get your first coin" this is not completely correct. It forgot to say get your first GOLD coin.
During your first play on a level you will notice some silver coins, this is not what your looking for here. In order to unlock this achievement you will need to collect a Gold Coin.
Gold coins appear when your playing that level in "Challenge Mode". To unlock the challenge mode for a certain level you will need to first beat that level and get an "A" rating. Once you get an "A" rating on a level simply replay it in the challenge mode and collect a Gold Coin to unlock this achievement.
To get an "A" rating you will have to do well in combat, collecting silver coins, and most importantly completing the level quickly (time).
The easiest level to do this in and the level I got it in is level 1.

You can't collect any gold coins until you play a level in "challenge mode". Once you play a level in challenge mode you can start collection gold coins. Do you need an exact location of a gold coin?

All you have to do is replay a level and get your first turtle shaped coin.
If you replay level 1, your likely to accidentally run into one.
To replay the level, you don't need to get an 'A' ranking and you don't need to go into Challenge Mode, which is a strange mini game in the "Extras" menu.

Its the third "coin" you collect in chapter 1 when you replay it. Also +1

The “Silver Coins” aren’t the ones needed for your first coin. You must beat a level with “A” rating to unlock the challenge map (easiest to do on level 1). Do the challenge level, and repeat the “story level”. The gold coins will appear very often, get one, and you got the achievement.
