How to unlock the Best of the Best achievement in TNA iMPACT - Definitive Guide

Just to confirm a couple of points, and sometips:

This achievement is easier if you do not have any losses, as this counts against you. It must be in ranked online play, but can obviously be boosted with either a helpful friend or dummy account. At the time of writing, you should be able to achieve Champion status on the Submission leaderboard at about 60 wins. You also need to view your position on the leaderboards, making sure to select the correct leaderboard as different match types have separate leaderboards and champions.

The quickest way is to select the 'Mexico' arena and 'Submission' match type, and select AJ Styles. Walk to your opponent and hit LB + A to hit an Insiguri kick and lay your opponent down. Walk around and stand behind the head of your opponent and repeatedly hit Y to fire elbows on top of his skull. Seven or eight hits later, the head part of your opponents health picture should be dark red, so hit LB + B to lock in that submission and hit three x three button sequences to finish the match. This can be as quick as 15 seconds, but with matchmaking and loading takes approx 2 minutes per game.

Edited to add: Having finally finished boosting this (Thanks DivineWind72!) the ranking (with wins I needed to achieve) goes:
Jobber
Rookie
Journeyman (55 wins)
Mid-Carder
Up & Comer (56 wins)
Superstar (57 wins)
Main Eventer (58 wins)
TNA Champion (59 wins)

I have tried to do this with a friend from Canada, I am in sweden. And all that happens is that everything freezes in the character select screen. I know that the servers are not really maintained now since midway failed. Do you think it might work if I find somebody that lives closer to me? HAve you ever had this problem?

I boosted with a friend in UK (same as me) and had no problem but have heard of issues connecting between UK and US. If you can find someone local, that would be the best way it seems.

Loses also count against you.. in BIG way.. I helped a few friends I have a157 losses and so now it was my turn.. 67 wins later I'm still a jobber.. Think I'll hit a mode I haven't lost in.

Great guide. A friend and I used it and had no problem. Key is to use a secondary account for the person who is taking the losses first!

Excellent guide!
Using your method and a borrowed 360 + game I was able to get this, along with 25 ranked matches and 5 losses in one sitting.
73 matches in one sitting (68 for the champion status)
Took around 2hours and 30mins altogether

Does anyone know how the losing works for sure, for example, If I've lost 5 Ultimate X matches, would that effect me boosting from scratch in Submission?

Thanks for your guide, the number of victories to reach this rank can be more or less personally i did 76 victories and i had only 1 defeat.

For your partner you can follow the guide but you can change the mode like that your partner don't need more victories in submission mode

As of today, took me 97 matches on submission but I might have gone over. The achievement popped once I opened the leaderboards to check. Before 97 I was around 82 and it hadn't popped then.

If you’re looking to do this it’s best to do it with a dummy account.

In order to get this achievement you will need to become a TNA Champion on the Live Leaderboards. At first this may sound daunting but it is doable. It will be a lot easier if follow this method.

1) Arrange to meet a friend online and get them to set up a RANKED Submission match.

2) Now you need to select QUICK PLAY and hope you match up with your friend. Nowadays its easy as their aren't that many people playing online.

3) Now you defeat your friend via SUBMISSION and repeat the process 40 - 50 times.

In order to unlock the achievement you will need to keep checking the leaderboards as it won't appear until you see your name at the top.

UGotta Check It has 51 wins and just NOW gained the "up and comer" status. He did all them in a roll, without loss. So it's looking like he will gain "TNA Champion" status around 100-120. I'll tell ya know in the near future.

As of 2/5/2011: With 0 wins submission now takes 60 wins and factor in approx. 5 more wins per 1 loss.

FCA is faster per match but takes 90 matches with no losses... again figure approx 5 more wins per 1 loss.

As of 4/17/11, it took me 87 FCA wins. I did NOT have to check the leaderboards though. The achievement popped soon after the end of the match.

So, i got to rank 1 and no achievement. I then ranked my friend up with a dummy account and he got the achievement! Then i lost a few matches to lose my tna status, then won a few to regain it and.... Still no achievement!!

It seems that if your rank isnt displayed in the grey bar at the bottom and just says jobber and 0 all the way along then the achievement will glitch.

My friends stats showed in the bottom grey bar but mine didn't. He got the G and I didn't so it seems to be something to do with that.

Ive tried deleting my gamesave, cache and the game from the hdd then restarting but still no achievement. We even did some more matches and took my wins to 100 but that didnt work either.

If anyone knows of a solution for this then please let me know. Its the last achievement of the game for me and its glitched :-/

Theres currently 2 people on the board with TNA champ status and no achievement. Theres posts all over x360.org about this bug. If your rank isnt displayed in the grey bar, You probably wont get the achievement.

Only 900/1000G obtainable for me it seems.

If its any help, I also got the cheevo only when I checked my status on the leaderboard, I think straight after the match I made TNA Champion. Took 87 straight wins in FAC, which apparently hasn't changed from a year ago! :D

There is no way to get your stats to show in the grey bar. Thats the problem. They should be shown in there the same as on the leaderboard, so if they dont show in the grey bar you wont get the achievement. The achievement is linked to the grey bar at the bottom and for some reason thats glitched for me and doesn't update.
It always says jobber 0 0 0 so no achievement for me. I first played the game years before i went for all of the achievements and apparantly there was some 'tna champ bug' going around then that made your profile unable to get the achievement.

Ok this achievement is screwy. My friend and I did this and it took him 70 wins (in a row that is), and me 73 or so. We had started by going back and forth with the wins but that doesn't work. You need one person to win continuously. We were both "jobbers" until around 51-57 wins. So basically your going to be a "jobber" rank for a long time, but once you level up you fly through the other ranks really fast. So just keep having your boosting partner win until he gets it. If you have losses already it will take you longer to get the "TNA Champion" rank. So just remember that. Any questions or comments let me know.

To get the achievement, you need to win about 65-80 ranked online matches. First, you need to choose the type of match, best of all the type of match in which you have no losses, because if you have losses, you will need to complete many more matches than if you don't. I played submission matches, I had no losses and I completed it after 64 wins. A friend had 2 losses in FCA matches and he was given it after 80 wins.
